I wouldn't thought so as it's seen as showing affection for each other.. but yes there are many different levels of that affection.
If it's just a friend then it's a friend...
But if it's your close girlfriend / boyfriend you will enjoy that experience.
But I guess you are thinking from the point of view whereby people may hug each other to feel each others body right?!?!
er?!?!?
It's not wrong if the hug is done innocently, but if there was a motive to be pervy then I guess it's wrong.
Would you hug your guy friend if you knew he likes to perv you out?? I think not.. haha
So it really depends on the person who is hugging and hugging back.
I'm from the UK and it's done all of the time to greet good friends.
So it's all game... but here in the US I don't know.........
Some hugs here are like semi hugs....... like a hug but not a hug..... different......

It completely depends on your relationship with the person- I would readily hug a my grandfather, but not necessarily my friend's husband, right? It also depends on the situation- is it a goodbye hug, congratulatory, or a "hey, you're standing here so I guess I'll hug you?". It is also important to keep in mind how your significant other feels about you hugging others of the opposite sex- it would be disrespectful to engage in it if you know it bothers that person. So, in short, yes, I think it is okay to hug someone of the opposite sex, given that the circumstances call for it.

It's wrong only is you make it wrong, remember some people have perverted minds. My husband is in a business where he is hugged by women and men all the time, and so am I. But like I say some people would take the laughter of a child and try to make something ugly at of it. This are the people that need our prayers more then any thing else.

Of course not. Do little boys not hug their grandmothers? Do fathers not hug their daughters? Hugs are just a good, genuine expression of affection. I'd say more guys get wierded out hugging someone of the same gender though!

No, I don't think it is wrong to hug someone of the opposite sex as long as they are your friend.

Hugging someone not of my gender is fine by me. Just as long as it does not go any further than that. I am talking about the lust aspect, then it would be wrong in the eye of God.

No, in Europe - except the UK - it is considered usual to give someone a hug and kiss when meeting.

Of course not! Hugs are a way of showing you care, and giving AND getting them feels great.

I could not imagine the world we would live in if, we could not hug anyone that needed one or wanted one, or for that matter just because we wanted to.
