She didn't circumvent punishment, she was saved by believing in her son, Jesus Christ, as the son of God.

Hi Countrybumpkin,

i'm not sure where the idea that the virgin Mary circumvented the wrath of God comes from. She was a regular human being who God called for a special purpose. She most certainly had put her trust in God even before she gave birth to Jesus, and her faith was what saved her.

From your other questions you seem to have questions about Roman Catholicism so i'm wondering if some of your information might be based on their teachings.

Biblically the virgin Mary has a special task that God gave to her but she is not be exalted as a saint or worshipped. She like everyone else needs faith in Christ. Mary does not take the place of Christ- Mary was not perfect and can not pay the price for our sins-- only Jesus can.

Hope that helps,

Nickster

The Virgin Mary cannot circumvent the wrath of God. The Catholic Church does NOT teach that in any way, shape or form. Mary is revered for being the Mother of Jesus and a model for us all for how to live our lives according to the will of God. She is often considered the "first among saints," but she cannot do more for us than pray to God and her Son with us.

No Mary can not circumvent or tell a lie the wrath or anger of Allah. She was a sacred woman who gave birth a son as a prophet without approached by a man.God created Jesus as a messenger of Allah for the Jews, but they could not receive and did not believed in Jesus. They did not want to follow his teaching and they try to kill Jesus but Allah saved him by replacing him with other whose face and body like Jesus.

Mary did nothing to circumvent the wrath of God. God allowed her to be conceived without original sin so that she would be a worthy carrier of His Son.

This is where it gets tricky.

When Jesus died on the cross, He died for all men, even those who lived and died before He came to earth. The graces He earned on the cross enabled Mary to be conceived without original sin.

Further, just saying "okay, you're forgiven" is not a good indication of 1. how serious sin is, and 2. how much God loves us. The fact that God came down from Heaven and died for the same race that *murdered* Him is a true testament of God's love for His creation.

When God was about to destory the cities of Sodom and Ghamorrhea (sp?), Abraham attempted to circumvent the wrath of God. He barganed God down to 10 good people in the city (though there were not even 10). God is willing to negotiate, if the right person asks.

Mary can help you, though she is not the redeamer. Her life did not bring about an end to the penalty of sin. That miracle is brought about by Jesus' life, death, and resurrection. Amen.

If the Bible leaves Mary praying in the upper room, not mentioning her again in epistles or Acts... should we do the same?

where does honor to Mary become a Jesus substitute and something to be avoided ?

how does Mary hear prayers for intersession around the world some sliectly prayed... if she almost omnicient and omnipressent now and where in the Bible would you get that idea

God sent Jesus because only human sacrifice can absolve sin. It's in the bible over and over, and all good Christians would do well to remember. The LORD demands the blood of men, and unless we feed Him we'll be lucky not to be crushed underfoot!

To save a sinful nation, and to teach the way to live according with God's will. Also so the Gentiles could be included in the salvation plan.

Mary was the virgin who the holy spirit placed Jesus into her womb. She is Jesus mother. She was the vessel that brought Jesus into this world. God sent Jesus to us to be used as the ultimate lamb of God to die on the cross for our sins. The wages of sin is death. And Jesus paid that randsom for us with His life.

A christian is when a spiritually lost person accepts Jesus as their savior, and repents of their sins, and invites Jesus to live inside their heart. And gives up their old sinful lifestyle.

It is called being born again.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Now Christians are the bride of Jesus who is the lamb of God. Jesus is getting His Church, which is His bride ready to take back with Him to heaven when He raptures us.

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

This is what the purpose in life is. To become the lamb of God
bride, through salvation, and become born again by accepting Jesus as your savior. Eveyone else who does not accept Jesus as their savior will be left behind for God to deal with.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

It's really not that complicated. I just praise the Lord for it.!!!
