FYI: My father is a JW. To shut them up, just ask them "Who created god?".. Nothing will make them run away from you faster.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not intimidated by *ANY* sincere question regarding the bible. The answer to "who created god?" is uncomplicated:

Jehovah's Witnesses do not try to force their religion on anyone; that would neither fulfill their commission nor be practical. In many countries, that would be illegal!

Instead, Jehovah's Witnesses hope to share with their neighbors an encouraging thought from the bible. Since they try to visit each home in their territories at least twice each year, it would not make sense for them to waste time with a householder who communicates a clear disinterest in conversing. There is no need to be rude or threatening. Simply thank the Witness for his good intentions, tell him you are not interested in speaking with Jehovah's Witnesses, and close the door gently.

Jehovah's Witnesses are used to it, and actually appreciate the opportunity to move on in the manner Jesus described:

(Matthew 10:14) [Jesus said] Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet

If you all want the honest truth about Witnesses reactions to the stunts people pull, then I will tell you right now, when you come to the door naked.....we laugh. Not in your face, but we do know it was done intentionaly for our benefit. It is embarassing for some, but then again, that is the way people are now, not caring if they are exposing themselves to a child, in which I would hope that people would have better morals than that. And telling them 'who created God', would not make them run away.
The fact of the matter is, we would walk away from someone who obviously had no desire to listen to what we had to say. It really is a waste of time, would you? I would rather go and talk with someone who had an honest interest in what we are bringing to their door.
Nothing deters Witnesses. In fact, we liken ourselves to cockroaches. We aren't going away, and even if you can't see it, we are going to increase. The numbers will grow, and we will survive anything.
You want to hear an interesting story, ask someone who is older about WWII. If you think that it was only the Jews that were being sent to prison camps or being killed and trying to survive in that era, ask about the movie The Purple Triangle. Witnesses were targeted just as much as the Jews were and instead of the star had to wear a purple triangle. The movie itself was published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, so ask any Witness about that.
And as the other person said on here, try just saying something simple like..'I'm not interested'. Some may ask why, because we are curious to know what it is that you don't like about Witnesses, or if perhaps there is some untruth that can be straightened out.
But if you honestly aren't interested, then say so.

I say hi Brother because I too am a Jehovah's Witness. It amazes me that so many people smart enough to use a computer still do not understand the simple principle of politely saying "no thanks" or "not interested". When I am going door to door I am offering a Bible study and a chance to know Jehovah. Jehovah gives all humans free choice. I do the same.

Peace. After examining many of the comments here, it is obvious that some harbor a deep seated resentment to this sect. jointly as, primitive Christians did pontificate and teach from door to door, and the favourite-day Witnesses do likewise, many seem to resent their sacrificial selfless efforts in this regards. No ask your self hence, that people who stubbornly refuse to hearken to the stable information pertaining to to the Christ, and the dominion it is to come again, this word: 2 Thessalonians a million:6-10 New international version (NIV) 6 God is purely: he will pay returned subject to those that subject you 7 and supply alleviation to you who're bothered, and to us as properly. this would happen whilst the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fireplace together with his efficient angels. 8 he will punish people who do no longer comprehend God and don't obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 they are going to be punished with eternal destruction and close out from the presence of the Lord and from the honour of his would 10 on the day he's composed of be glorified in his holy human beings and to be marveled at between all people who've believed. This consists of you, when you consider which you believed our testimony to you.

I don't go to the door if I can help it and call next door to my mom's and warn her. She does the same for me. We had a dog many years ago that never harmed anybody and I mean NEVER. For some reason when JW would pull inthe driveway he wouldn't let them out of the car. I believe if they had he would have ripped off a leg or arm. Damn I miss that dog.

I don't answer the door when I see them coming. But I will keep that "who made God" thing handy, just in case.

Try singing, "I Wish You a Merry Christmas" and see what happens. They don't believe in celebrating Christmas, so if you "wish" them a happy Christmas, they might take it an omen and run down the street.

Fossil evidence as well nothing makes them run faster than presenting fossil evidence proving the evolution of cephalapods.

Or try wishing them a merry Christmas I might try that next time.

What ever you do, be polite. These people are enboldened when they meet with what they perceive as "persecution". If you are willing to study, then you can confront them in dialogue, but you need to know the facts about what they believe and why (you also have to keep current because they've gone 180° on topics too many times).

Well, I'm a mid-teenager who has read the Bible probably more than any JW alive (43, can you beat that?...unless they're 80 years old) so when they try to debate with me about some subject, I just counter argue their points until they cry.

How about answer the door, as you would for anyone else? If you don't want to talk to them, let them know you're unemployed. THAT will make them run away. Works for Mormons, too. LOL
