my family stopped going to church about 2 yrs ago,cause of my husbands work . we always hate searching for a new church and trying to fit in. weve gotten so far away from god that you would have never known we were born again christians. we both work to make ends meet and so tired and dont have the energy to go out looking for a new place to go. my husband likes the traditional to southern gospel and i only like the contemperary services, so we struggle with that to ! god has been speaking to me lately. how can we get back in church where we were with our busy lives now. do you have any advice for me?

Why do people baptise in the name of the father, the son, and the holy ghost. WHen Peter said Passage Acts 2:38:

38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

So tell me, any one?

The word "heresy" had its meaning altered; it came to mean "a crime punishable by death." The word comes from the Greek word "hairesis" which means "a school of thought" not a "false doctrine," as the Church fathers led us to believe. Pagan deities were identified with the devils and demons of the new religion, and their images became associated with evil. The best example of this was the demonization of the Great Horned God of Europe, one of the most widely worshipped Pagan deities, who became Christianity's horned devil and anti-God. No amount of logic could convince these witch hunters that pagans never had a devil and do not believe in one; he is wholly a construct of Christian theology. But pagans died horrible deaths fighting for the truth of the faith.

I was just wondering what everyone's input is on this research.

I must not fear
Fear is the mindkiller
Fear is the little death that brings about total obliteration
I will face my fear, and permit it to pass over and through me,
And when I turn my minds eye back to it's path,
Only I will remain.
(Paraphrased)

Exodus 3:5(burning bush) says....God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground"
Church is a holy place and while worshipping n praying to God we should remove our footwear right..

Im hearing lately that ppl r waiting for jesus to return and for him to solve r problem, and even I have lost so much hope, that last month(6/6/06) i prayed for the end of the world, or hoped the sky will open up and give us Jesus, but thats just are problem, were waiting for the next day to come, which when it comes we don't like it from the last, the only reason we go on is to wait for that moment, "let me just get through this day", and I must ask myself why, I once had so much hope in the human, but I am losing that hope, and Im know depending on something that may never happen, those I will live without hope in myself, because I will die on this earth, and would have died, because i lost hope. Just because we as humans dont want to solve our on problem, just because we feel we can do what ever we want, but when Jesus comes, he will fix everything we did. And that saddens me

I thought that we'd have Bibles at every table. We could witness to all the patrons. We could show religious broadcasts on the big screen TV's and feature Christian music on the jukebox. All the napkins would have scriptures on them. I would hire good Christian girls as the waitresses and I would hire retired clergymen for the bartenders.

We could be open on Sundays and hold a church service, which would include full service bar with wine, beer and mixed drinks.

Do you think this could be successful?

We never know how long we have in this life and whether or not you believe in eternity we all agree that we all will die. What are you planning to do to show the people in your life that they are important and appreciated?{ My sons and I are going to watch a movie together and go for a walk, My husband and I will probably just lay side by side tonight and tell each other how much we love them.}

I am a Catholic and I do not try to force my religion on others. I believe that one may share the news but not push or hassle another about it. If one says "no thanks" then you leave them alone. I do not understand why some people seem to be bothered by our faith and actively try to destroy it. Honestly if I can respect their rights to not believe then I should have the equal right to believe what I choose, don't you think?

They are all Judaic-derived faiths and as such one would expect that their God be one and the same (even if the "message" has been transformed / evolved). And yet the Christian notion of trinity seems to be in diametrical contrast to the others!

You are believing what people 2000 years ago said was the truth. This is the biggest con game in history. The majority of people got suckered into it. You didn't hear a booming voice on high saying "READ MY BOOK!" when you first saw the bible. You didn't know anything about it. Someone told you something or the book has writing in it saying "I am true, believe me." And you bought it!

Isayah 24:1-6
1 Before Yahweh's very eyes, the earth is made empty and it is made waste; the face of it is perverted and its inhabitants scattered abroad;
2 And it will be: as with the people, so with the priest;
3 The land will be utterly emptied and utterly plundered, for it has come to pass that this judgment has been pronounced.
4 The earth mourns and fades away, the world mourns and fades away, and the haughty people of the earth languish.
5 The earth also is defiled because of the inhabitants of it, for they have transgressed the Laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting covenant.
6 Because of this, the curse has devoured the earth, and they who dwell therein are desolate; therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.
The few that are left will be keeping the Laws of Yahweh!
