I thought that we'd have Bibles at every table. We could witness to all the patrons. We could show religious broadcasts on the big screen TV's and feature Christian music on the jukebox. All the napkins would have scriptures on them. I would hire good Christian girls as the waitresses and I would hire retired clergymen for the bartenders.

We could be open on Sundays and hold a church service, which would include full service bar with wine, beer and mixed drinks.

Do you think this could be successful?

I would love to hear what you are going to name your mixed drinks.
Here are some suggestions

A Praying Jesus
The 12 Disciples- a mixture of 12 ingredients that guarantees you will see heaven.
Jobs Whale - a large beer glass
Noah's Ale - water
Mose's Muse - a triple shot of tequila

The consumption of alcohol, except for medicinal purposes (which is very small amounts) is sinful.

Habakkuk 2:15 ¶Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!

Ephesians 5:18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

(And before anybody brings it up: in John 2, Jesus created a grape product [literal translation of the Greek oinos], but didn't sin; therefore it wasn't alcoholic. The people of that time and place appreciated a sweet juice, and that which Jesus created was better than the previous grape product; therefore it wasn't alcoholic.)

More power to ya. Why not just have socials at your church? You'd attract the exact same people.

Reminds me of a song I head on Bob and Tom: The First Baptist Bar and Grill :)

Would be nice to have a place to gather and socialize without all the drinking, smoking and sexual things going on but looks like the ones that need to be witnessed to are the ones in the drinking bars!!!

Maybe...it sounds cool but I'm not at the age of drinking quiet yet lol
You should start with a small place in case it doesn't work out because then you didn't waste as much money!

God bless you!
If you really want to pray about it.

If you are in America you could easily get in trouble for discriminating against potential employees based on religion. Other than that, whatever you want to do...but I don't think that many people really want to hear about church stuff when they are drinking.

I went to a Christian bar once and hated it. I ordered bottled water and they only had "Red Sea" brand. Every time I tried to take a sip the waters parted.

Oh yeah and you should make your own Christian beers too!!! Nice try there dude. I'm pretty sure I just answered a question of yours that was anti-Christian, but hey that was a very quick turnaround!

I don't know if this could be successful, but I'm sure I won't visit, even if you place sexy Christian boys and girls at the door to pull me inside.

Christians only want to be Christians at church where it counts.
