I must not fear
Fear is the mindkiller
Fear is the little death that brings about total obliteration
I will face my fear, and permit it to pass over and through me,
And when I turn my minds eye back to it's path,
Only I will remain.

That's funny, I was thinking about Dune just this morning...

Anyway, basically, yes. Fear is the opposite of love. If you strengthen your connection to love, fear will hold no power over you, and you will be stronger than any unbalanced (fear-based) person. Love is king, so you will never have to fear anything ever again.

Fear is the product of our own mind. When we face our fears...we often discover they were unfounded. We do have a survival instinct that protects us. Fear does serve a purpose, in this instance. When one lives in fear; they lead a life of desperation. Fiction often contains much truth.
