You may be sorry, but apparently you haven't yet learned everything from your experience that you were supposed to. Seek your answers within yourself.

When we sin, there is something called temporal punishment due to sins. That's what makes life hard on earth. It is meant to cleanse us here, so we can be happy with God in Heaven. If we accept our lot in life and offer our suffering in union with the Sufferings of Christ, our burden becomes light and our yoke sweet (a verse taken from the Bible). You don't have to be miserable when you suffer. Good can come from it. It can actually bring a sort of joy to you if you look at it in the right way.
We can actually relieve our temporal suffering here on earth by doing Spiritual and Corporal works of mercy. So why not get out and start regularly helping the poor. Get out on the street and find someone in need and buy them something to eat. Or find a homeless shelter or food for the homeless place and start volunteering. God rewards our charity in a temporal way. He will relieve your suffering and bless you. It's as easy as that. The more you give of yourself, the more God will give you.

If it were God punishing you, you'd be burning in hell.
God doesnt "slap people around" or all evil people would be bruised all day. Punishment comes AFTER life.
If you're having a hard time - you have our empathy.
But you're not so important that God is poking at you from heaven. Take a deep breath - call on anyhing you find holy - and give your troubles combat.

I can understand why you think that God continues to punish you. However, I believe that God tests us and our faith at times. He wants to see if we see the glass half full or half empty. Just remember and think of it as not being punished, more like being tested. This is what got me through some of the toughest times in my life.

It's a part of God's special plan for some of us.
be grateful and take heart though,,, some people are born and live for 10 years, under gay and sexually abusive parents, never get to hear about the Bible and just go straight to hell, designated as a 'sinner', when God knows that person was unable to not sin.

God does not punish. And, if you believe in the redemption of sins through confession and ask for forgiveness, God has already heard your prayers. So, peace be with you.

If you've ever read the book of Job now you know God found him to be a righteous man he allowed Satan to temp him. Notice when I said allowed.Listen to the conversation "One day the angels [a] came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan [b] also came with them. 7 The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come from?"
Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it."
8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."
9 "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied. 10 "Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face."
12 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger."
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD."
Now you see some times God will allow you to be tested to see how faithful you are.Hold on because with trial and tribulation comes endurance and patients.

god does not give any punishment. these sufferings are out come of your own deeds. these may be of this life or may be of past life. when you will will repay all your misdeeds through the sufferings, the so called punishment shall automatically cease. so do not get worried, have faith and faith heals. do Paranayam and yoga regularly to over come.

What makes you think He is punishing you? Perhaps you're just suffering the consequences of your actions.
If you rob a bank, you can be forgiven instantly, but you'll be paying the temporal (earthly) consequences for that action for 10-20 years.
