Nothing will obviously unconvert a theist. I'm afraid that even if science would prove with 100% certainty that God can't exist, they would still believe.
Maybe some will unconvert on this yahoo!forum, it's my main reason to even be here.

I wouldn't necessarily say all atheists would convert. Just because God was proven to exist, it doesn't mean that everyone would suddenly start worshipping it.
Unconverting a theist is impossible, seeing as their very belief in God goes against all the available evidence. The only thing that changes their views is themself, if eventually they decide that they cannot reconcile the suffering and aparent randomness of fortune on the planet with the existance of a higher being who apparently loves us.

I always wondered if finding life on other planets would shake up monotheism. The Bible seems very earth-centric and those who rely heavily on it as the absolute truth might be challenged by such an event.
