One of the most misquoted texts in Scripture is 1 Timothy 6:10 which says "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." You usually hear only the first sentence (which is okay) with the first four words chopped off (not okay). Note too that older translations sometimes will say "root of all evil" while more modern ones will say "root of all kinds of evil", which is (IMHO) a better translation.

It's not money which is evil, but the obsession with it that causes the problem.

Theres actually an equation that answers this question;
money=evil
women=money

money+women=
2
EVIL
(evil squared)
therefore women are the root of all evil

Many people incorrectly believe that money is the root of all evil.

It is the *love* of money that is the root of all evil. If you love it you'll do anything to get it. Lie, cheat, kill, steal.
