I just want the Jewish thought on hell and the lake of fire. The typical Christian sectarian thoughts gets twisted with the lake of fire - the lake of fire is forever and ever - but hell (hades) is a holding cell.

So I am really wondering what the JEWISH (only Jewish) thoughts are on the matter based on traditions taught in the Synagogues. This is not a judgmental question nor am I baiting - but a sincere desire to know.

I mean, it gets so confusing. Who worships what, and how, and when, and all the rules!!! No dancing, only dresses for girls, hit your knees and pray every three hours, fast for a week if you think about masturbation, its ok to down wine with communion but not any other time. etc.............

Serious answers only.... there is a quote in the bible that bans "scaring or marking the skin" and people say you cant be buried ina jewish cemetary if you do get a tattoo. is this valid?? Jews that don't keep Kosher or observe holidays still get buried... thoughts?

Don't you think harping on how wrong it is to give birth to a child out of wedlock, "fornicate", be a "welfare queen" would be part of the societal shame that would prompt women to abort? Abortion is something no one has to know about except her and God, giving birth to a "bastard" child, proof of your "sin", shaming your family/church/community and the potential poverty and humiliation of having to go to social services is something that would be for all of society to see.
Don't you think the mindset of society and the morality police shaming women also prompts them to have an abortion?

I don't necessarily agree with abortion, so please don't go on about how abortion is wrong, and please don't start making crap up as you go along about what church, Jesus or God himself "think" or what the bible vaguly eludes to if you read carefully between and beyond the lines.

Maybe those people in contact with the beings from other reality systems have been called occultists throughout known history. Are these rituals they do, bring them on a vibrational level that is synchronized to the system or beings they are trying to contact? Is curiosity awesome or what! Responsibilty at that level must be INTENSE!

Am I the only one who notices how wacky the ideas of what God is are? And how they conveniently fit into human agendas, not to mention assigning characteristics to the creator of the universe which are most obviously based on some of the worst human traits and mostly associated with the male gender. By the way, I have no problem with men whatsoever - I love them. It's just that with so much at stake based on these worldwide concepts, it's worth questioning some of these beliefs.

So many Christians say that faith is to believe in GOD even though you have no evidence that a GOD exists, This means that they are admitting that they have put their immortal soul, the immortal souls of their Children and everyone else around them, and the fate of the entire Universe in the hands of something they don't understand and might not even be there. This is reckless behavior.Would you get in a cab and just "Have Faith" that your cabbie was sober? Would you go to a hospital to have surgery and just "Have Faith" that the Doctor (for whom, quite frankly looks a little shaky) wouldn't butcher you? Would you "Have Faith" that there was a parachute in that backpack even though it looks empty? If so, you deserve what you get.

Having Faith in GOD doesn't mean to believe in GOD's existence even though you have no proof of it. Having faith in GOD means to have faith in GOD's doctrine of Peace and Mercy even though noone else seems to be doing it.

GOD is definable.
