Come on! This is 2006. The whole civilized world believes in monogamy. Most people can't affosd of satisfy more than one spouses...even when it is legal. But criticize Islam for polygamy and Muslims are up in arms even if they have only one spouse....Why do they insist upon a tradtion that is of no personal benefit to them and makes the whole religion look backward? BTW, what is the percent of Muslim men who have more than one wives?

Ok so this one time i was in a feild at night and i was thinking about jesus. Then suddenly this strange feeling came over me as if i was being sucked out of my body. and then i looked down and there was this great big light. I just imagined that there were people of this reality system that could have possibly mastered it. But I also imagined they were in constant contact with beings of other realities and asked them for guidance. I tried to enter the mindset of those involved and they had understanding of knowledge beyond my grasp. What do you think?

My view is that people deserve respect, but ideas and beliefs do not. What do you think, and if you think religion *does* deserve respect, what form should that respect take? Does it mean freedom from ridicule, condemnation, criticism or even intellectual challenge? Please justify your answer.

Did God want people to breed or to create a thing that would prevent them from breeding during fornication? Not sure i get the point in a lot of religion blabberish but it's kinda weird. Second Question, Wouldn't it be interfering with God's will to keep someone alive throught tubes and machines when without these measures he would have died and joined God? Well, i'm just curious.

all of my friends tell me its the best, but none of them have ever been there themselves. They all read the reviews about it, but none of us can find it. They say that the only way in is to surrender yourself to the will of the owner, and give up something you really love. What I'm wondering is this, if they haven't been there how do they know it's so great? I mean, what if it's a Sushi Bar, I don't like Sushi, so why would I want to go there? They keep telling me I have to believe that it's great or it won't be, but I don't know, it sounds like a scam to me. What do you think?

Can you "choose" to believe in Unicorns? Can you "choose" to believe in lepricahns? Is that real faith? If you "make" yourself believe in Jesus despite all the evidence to the contrary is that good enough to keep you from "choosing" to send yourself to everlasting never ending torture in hell? ( since many Christians her aren't man enough to admit that it is actually God who throws us into hell, as if any sane person would choose eternal torture voluntarily). So lip service is all it takes to get into heaven, whether the heart is truly in it or not? Have you ever fallen in love with someone who wasn't your choosing?

I was rasied in church but haven't been back to church in like 7 years. My real question is how do you really know that god is in your life I mean i believe in god and everything, I know there is something that looks over us I have 3 healthy kids and a wonderful hubby who has made it thru 2 tours in Iraq so I realize something is looking out for us. So is it ok for me to believe in him but not attend church. I am always told go to church but can't I worship in my own way??

I ask for proof of god, and get people saying evolution is lies. While I think it is great that you have answers, could they this time be to the question? IS THERE ANY PROOF OF GOD? Not flowers, not trees, proof. As I said, there is more proof of god, than there is of santa. In fact santa has more proof. I want proof, not look at the world around you, and if that is all you have don't answer.
