Having a relationship with God connects you with your fellow Christians. Generally, you should have a desire to worship with them. However, making a church choice is not easy, and you shouldn't rush into it. You certainly can maintain your relationship outside of church, but you are not likely to grow. Perhaps you should take time to study in depth so that you can make a logical choice when you start looking again for a church.

Sure, you can do what you want.
However, Jehovah has standards and if He has given us the Bible to find out what is acceptable to Him and how to apply his Words into our life, then shouldn't we really worship him the way he wants to be worshipped?
That doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go to church every Sunday, etc. It means that you have to examine yourself and determine how you are able to serve God and do it. He knows our hearts and what we're capable of, so if you aren't doing what you are capable of doing, then you can suffer from the consequences. Everything we need to know about God is in the Bible, so you should study that and apply it and see what religion is doing those things. But the knowledge (John 17:3) of God that is found in the Bible should come before you make a commitment to any organization or church.

Going to church doesn't make you a better Christian. It is nice to do if you are looking for a refresher on different things or an interpretation by someone else.
What I would personally encourage is reading the Bible and making sure your family is getting guidance, from you, about the importance of God and Christ in our lives. NOTHING is more important for you to teach them.

Church is a creation by humans... we are never admonished in the Bible to go to church... we are encouraged to fellowship with fellow believers on a regular basis but we aren't required to... There is no right way or wrong way to worship...

Well Sister, when you accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior, He already saved you from the works of the law. Your salvation is eternal. One that is by grace and not by works of the law. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ and you are in Christ.
The religious things that some people do, don't justify them. It's believing in Christ that justify all of us. He who knew no sin (and in Him is no sin), is made sin for us on the cross so that today we can be made the righteousness of God. On the cross on cavalry on one fateful day, the Son of God made a divine exchange, giving all of us His righteousness and He took all of our sins and He was punished by God on the cross for all of our sins. This is the gospel (the good news). One that is too good to be true but it's true anyway. What makes you think that by doing any religious things will make you righteous when you already are righteous and you have Christ's righteousness. What more do you want?
I am not saying to forsake the assembly of brethens because it brings great benefits like encouraging one another, like it helps to remind us about the truth (as we sometimes forgot it in the busy-ness in our lives), like finding out how good He is. It's permissible for you to not attend church, just that my advice is that it's beneficial for you to attend too.
God bless. Shalom.

The people that tell you to go to church are telling you that for the sake of preserving their own church. Your connection with a higher power is up to you, and you should do whatever you feel best with.

Yes, God does not care if you go to church or what church. He only cares about what is in your heart.

The only thing that matters is your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Actually, the pastor of the church I attend sporadically told me this.

Believe what you want, lead a good life and everything will be fine. Hell is an invention of religion because they want you in their church giving them money.

Think for yourself. You have all that you need to know what is best for your life. Use it.
Anyone that would claim to do the thinking for you, is not concerned with you or your life at all. Unless it serves them. To be a second hand thinker is to be enslaved, and not free. One can only develop healthy self-esteem if one is free.
