They are important -- but none of them were the Son of God.
None of them were dying for the purpose of taking away the sin of the world, as Jesus was.
What makes you think that people who believe in Christ have no respect for people who might have been wrongfully accused and then crucified?

What are you going on about? Jesus and the two thieves were not the trend setters in being crucified. Crucifixion had been a standard means of execution of criminals.
Are you talking about worshiping the thieves or putting them on a holy pedestal as Jesus? Sorry - only Jesus was the Son of God, destined to die for our sins. He was innocent - the thieves were not.
Are you talking about morning the dead? Showing respect for the dead? Jesus is risen! He was only dead for 3 days and nights. As for morning the dead - even Jesus said, "let the dead bury the dead, as for you, follow me".
If we mourned all the dead over history there would not be enough calender days - no one would be able to work and take care of their families - starvation, and the sick would go unattended - more die in mourning.
We are not supposed to respect the criminal act - nor give any permissiveness to it by setting up mourning/memorial shrines to them. If thats what you want to do, I cant and wont stop you.
Live in misery, mourn all the dead you wish for as long as you wish. Its America. You can do what you want. It doesn't make it right - but not many now days in America really care about doing right. IN My Humble Opinion.

One on the right of Jesus was told that "this day he would be with Jesus in paradise". He was a thief and lived a life of crime. Hadn't been baptised, or even had time to repent. But, was accepted by Jesus. The other thief accused Jesus like people do today. Two lifes, two roads they each went down.

During the Resurrection your right there were two thieves that were crucified beside Christ. One on the Left and one on the Right. The one on the Right is very significant. He showed us that if you believe that Jesus is the true King of Kings and the Savior of the world then no matter what you have done in your life you to can be SAVED.

Actually they are very important.
One was cynical and mocked Jesus, the other asked for Jesus to save him a spot in heaven.
There isn't a religion about them because they probably weren't great and knowledgeable teachers, didn't perform numerous miracles, didn't come back to like 3 days later, weren't conceived by a virgin, weren't prophesied for generations before there birth, angels probably didn't talk to their parents before they were born, and they didn't claim to be the son of and weren't the son of God.

One of the people crucified with Jesus mocked him. The other person recognized Jesus for who he was and believed on him. Jesus told him, "Today you will be with me in Paradise." I don't consider them important because they weren't the Son of God and they weren't dying for the sins of the world.

They are very important. One shows the ridicule of Jesus remained even with his last dieing breath while the other asked for forgiveness. Two thousand years later the same remains true. Just goes to show evolution isn't all it's cracked up to be.

You need to remember that Jesus was falsely accused. He was sinless! He was able to pay the price for our sins because he never sinned. Those other that died on the cross were sinners. They are important, but they were not sinless. While it is possible that others that were crucified were falsely accused - they were still sinners nonetheless.

First they did not overcome death as Jesus Christ did. Secondly Christ was innocent and died for friend as well as his enemies. And last they are a picture of society since the beginning of time. One cursed and blamed all his problems on someone else. The other seeing that though he was guilty, he was the one that chose that road, and upon meeting Christ repented and believed.
