In spite of the fact that the books of the Bible were written in very different time periods, and by different authors. Its just another proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit and that he inspired the Bible!

A prayer,
Lord God, creator of Heaven and Earth, thank you for inspiring people to give us your word. A revelation of you Lord. Of your love. Amen.

sho nuf - "Not when you figure that the texts were studied by each generation"
Your stated fact that people would do that really says something! Over a period of thousands of years! Its because there is something there! The revelation of God! Amazing!

Yes it is amazing! I have the question 'why hasn't God revealed Himself to us, if He exists'. The fact is - He has, just as you have said, through His Word the Bible. Listen everyone to what He says.
But God shows His anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God. Romans 1 v 18-20

I don't mean to nitpick, but could you maybe describe the logic behind the ascertion that that is proof of the presence of the Holy Spirit and that he inspired the bible?
I mean, it sugguests the bible was created through intelligent design, rather than completely random occurences, though that parralel breaks down if you read far enough...

Not when you figure that all of the texts were studied by each generation and memorized. It would only make sense. I have read the Chronicles of Narnia quite a few times. If I were to write a continuation it would probably contain a lot of the same elements as the originals.

Yes, the Holy Spirit's guidance to the many authors of the Bible is evident by the way it all interconnects. I'm particularly amazed by the foreshadowing of Christ in the Old Testament. Isaiah 53 is one of my favorite foreshadowings.

The only coherence and continuity that you will find in the Bible is that which was created by numerous early Christian councils and written into the Bible. Otherwise, these stories were quite disconnected and lacked almost all of the messianic prophesy that one finds in the Old Testament today.

Not really. I mean, since Christianity has some pretty core ideas and themes, I'd expect them to be in all the holiest of writing.
It is all about Christianity. That kinda dictates a certain theme and course of the book.

Yes that's because all of those men were guided by the Holy Spirit, it only would make sense to do so.

Actually, I find it amazing how the (supposedly) same god in the OT is 100% different in the NT.
And the contradictions are numerous.
