I ask for proof of god, and get people saying evolution is lies. While I think it is great that you have answers, could they this time be to the question? IS THERE ANY PROOF OF GOD? Not flowers, not trees, proof. As I said, there is more proof of god, than there is of santa. In fact santa has more proof. I want proof, not look at the world around you, and if that is all you have don't answer.

I got proof: half-eaten cookies, empty glass of milk, the exact presents I asked for, reindeer footprints on the roof (well, I didn't see those, but my dad told me he did).... wait.... what? Oh, you meant the other guy? Sorry, can't help you there.

How about proof that God created Evolution? I offer the following:

GENESIS 1 (In its entirety.)
A clear statement of the process of evolution. To read that the world was created in 7 days is not to be taken literally, as we read in Psalm 90:4 “For a thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone by.” Other versions read, “For a day on earth is like a thousand years with God.” If 7 days can be referred to and calculated later as 7,000 years, then certainly throughout the loss of accuracy from one translation to the next over 2,000 or so years, one could interpret this “7 days” as 70,000 or even 70,000,000 years.

GENESIS 2:7 “And the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground… and the man became a living being.”
Further reference to the evolutionary process. Man was not created within the first week, but appeared on earth afterward. The Bible does not state how many “days” after the earth formed and the plants and animals appeared that man actually appeared. A “day” later? 30 “days”? There is a time frame missing of possibly tens of thousands of years (using Psalm 90:4 again as a reference to the translation of time).

A logical proof of god exists, but it's kind of flimsy. If we operate by the principle that everything has to be caused by something, and nothing can cause itself, then time is immortal, and then time itself is god. If we operate on the principle that the ONLY thing that breeches this rule is god, then whatever it is that happened first is god. Therefore, god may be dead, unintelligent, or whatever, but god exists, because we defined something that has to exist as god.

Anyway, if evolution is false, then the assumption is that there is intelligent design, which doesn't present god: It could be we were created by space aliens. But then, really, our space aliens are god.

Surely you understand that there are many things which evade the senses of man and even of the sensing devices which he has created.

It wasn't so long ago that ago that no one could offer evidence of gamma rays. Then came the cloud chamber. Only the most arrogant would argue that it is different today because today we can sense everything that is.

But, even a cloud chamber offers only an observation, and not, as some would claim, "empirical proof".

The reality is that there is no empirical proof of God.

The reality is that there is no empirical proof of anything

Fundamentalists like to jump to conclusions. Recently I asked a question about "why people think intelligent design is a science?" and got answers saying that they don't like evolution even though I never mentioned evolution in the question. They think that if anything happens (like a pizza coming out from the oven), then the Bible's God must exist.

You will never find a Proof of God.
Nor will you ever encounter a Proof against God.
You'll have to guess like the rest of us.

A lot of creationists make the false assumption that disproving evolution (which has never happened, btw) would prove creationism or god.

That is logically nonsense, but I've tried to explain this to them many, many times, and they don't seem to get it :(

As I said before... there is NO proof... that's why its called FAITH!!!!! I don't understand why you can't understand that...

Just the same there is NO proof that there isn't a God... both beliefs require faith...

I believe in God because of the impossibility of the alternatives.
