2:190-192] And fight in the cause of Allah with those who fight with you, and do not exceed the limits, surely Allah does not love those who exceed the limits. And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque (in Makkah) until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the reward of the unbelievers. But if they desist, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah, but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors.

One world religion, and if does not happen kill all that will not succumb to you. They are to kill every single person, man, woman and child that disagrees with their thinking. No matter what belief or no belief you are to die. Anyone that does not have the Muslim faith is faithless and worthy of death. This means you Atheist, Agnostic, Protestant, Catholic, Roman Catholic, , and any I missed. I didn't know a thing about the Muslim faith til all of this started. Now I know more than I really wanted to know. I have a hope in me that not all follow this indoctrination. I hope there are some that follow the peaceful side and spurns the cruelty.http://jesus-is-lord.com/islam.htm#violence Read these and get an insight. This will give you a pretty well complete picture.

Simply Allah is command Muslims to fight with those who fight with them and kill them whereever you find is related to war. Do not exceed limits means that don't start wars of aggressions, make peace as soon as non believers stop fighting with you.

I'm tired of hearing phrases like "such is the reward for the unbelievers." I've never hurt a Muslim. I just want to live my life.

"Nor take life - which Allah has made sacred - except for just cause. And if anyone is slain wrongfully, we have given his heir authority (to demand retaliation or to forgive): but let him not exceed bounds in the matter of taking life, for he is helped (by the Law)." [Al Isra:33]

Islam does not tolerate the killing of innocents.

In addition to perotonia, I would like to add:
Why do people choose to use this verse as an "example" without reading the verses hat accompany it?

There are two and only two times when a Muslim is allowed to fight.
-in self defense
-against an oppressive tyrant

During the times of the Prophet Muhammad (saws) he had signed peace treaties with members of other religions, to keep a balance and so every party felt secure. If they were to break their promise (which means they broke the peace treaty and attacked the Muslims) then they had every right to fight them! And why not? Would it make any sense for God to have commanded His followers to lie down and let them kill us? That is exactly what this verse explains.

There are also many firm rules regarding war and battle that a Muslim must not break. For example, not a single woman, child, elderly person, insane/disabled person, unarmed man, or even a TREE is to be harmed under any situation. Anyone who breaks these commands has surely comitted a sin. As the end of the verse says:
"but if they desist, then there should be no hostility except against the oppressors."

The Quran also says, regarding non-Muslims:
9:6 “And if anyone of the Mushrikoon (polytheists, idolaters, pagans, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah) seeks your protection then grant him protection so that he may hear the Word of Allah (the Qur’an) and then escort him to where he can be secure”

60:8-9 "As for such [of the unbelievers] as do not fight against you on account of [your] faith, and neither drive you forth from your homelands, God does not forbid you to show them kindness and to behave towards them with full equity: for, verily, God loves those who act equitably. God only forbids you to turn in friendship towards such as fight against you because of [your] faith, and drive you forth from your homelands, or aid [others] in driving you forth: and as for those [from among you] who turn towards them in friendship; it is they, they who are truly wrongdoers!"

3:64 "Say: O People of the Scripture. Come to an agreement between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partners unto Him, and that none of us shall take others for lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto Him)."

5:8 "O YOU who have attained to faith! Be ever steadfast in your devotion to God, bearing witness to the truth in all equity; and never let hatred of any-one lead you into the sin of deviating from justice. Be just: this is closest to being God-conscious. And remain conscious of God: verily, God is aware of all that you do."

16:125 "CALL THOU [all mankind] unto thy Sustainer's path with wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in the most kindly manner- for, behold, thy Sustainer knows best as to who strays from His path, and best knows He as to who have been guided."
