Am I the only one who notices how wacky the ideas of what God is are? And how they conveniently fit into human agendas, not to mention assigning characteristics to the creator of the universe which are most obviously based on some of the worst human traits and mostly associated with the male gender. By the way, I have no problem with men whatsoever - I love them. It's just that with so much at stake based on these worldwide concepts, it's worth questioning some of these beliefs.

If it's such an important question, then please be specific about what undesirable traits God is assigned, and exactly how He "condones killing."

I agree with you 100% and have asked this question myself. The only answer that I have been able to come up with is that because God gave mankind the choice of free will, mankind will use God's name (in vain, I might add) to capitalize on whatever it is they want - with their own free will. But, I believe that it is man's choice of free will, not God's wishes, to continue in this way. And then, a person's ability to manipulate others with their ideas forms a society of ideas that are not from God, or the universal consciousness, but a society of manipulators. It is a sad state of affairs and only by seeking a peaceful, loving way can it be obliterated. Unfortunately, greed plays a large role in a manipulator's mind and they usually persevere. It then becomes what "I want" and not what is "the best for all mankind".
