I have heard that there is a place in India where Hindus travel to for purification after inadvertantly eating meat. Anyone know specfically where that is?

Well, im a hindu and a brahmin but i never heard of such a place. The mighty Ganges river is the only place we believe purifies the soul, although some believe that the indus also purifies the soul.

P.S.- Even though im kinda religious, I eat meat. I'm technicaly not supposed to but many hindus eat meat. I guess once I'm older, i'll become a vegetarian. And why are all you guys so stupid? The Ganges river is poluted but you are exaggerating it!

In Banaras, Varanashi, the Ganga River flows, and there people go to pilgrimage most of the time, to atone for their sins.

Including sins for eating meat.

They purify themselves in the Ganges River, which is very polluted. Go figure!

It is the Indus river - it is a ritual myth - not every Hindu does it.

I think there's an attachment they can just put on their kitchen sink. Try Wal-Mart.
