I do not practice any particular religion but I am a firm believer in God. My religous background would have to be Christianity but I find myself questioning its beliefs. I have read material that expains the beliefs of Judaism and I found that I agree with most everything I've read and I am intrigued. If I choose to delve into Judaism and attend services, what should I expect to encounter? Should I attend classes first? Should I speak with a Rabbi?

Why do people (christians of course) always gotta assume that atheists are gonna eventually find "god" before there about to die? Its just more ignorant assuming on the part of them. I almost died once and not once did i say "god" this or that, i just told myself if i die now i'm not gonna exist anymore so make a decision now cause its now or never. So christians, STOP ASSUMING AND STOP TELLING OTHER PEOPLE WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN OR WHAT THEY WILL EVENTUALLY WILL BELIEVE IN AND GET A LIFE AND KEEP YOUR BELIEFS TO YOURSELF. What seperates us from Jesus Christ in a big way is the fact that He was born a virgin birth. He is God incarnate as no one can become. How could He take away the sins of the world if He wasn't God? When you really think about it, it only makes sense to have God come down to become one of His creation and to prove His love by dying for us and our sins. We all know that that's what true love is.

I have accepted Jesus into my heart and I care about people's souls, but I always feel deep down that I might just be doing it for the eternal rewards God will give. But in the bible doesnt it say to look forward to them. Like I wanna please God, but I just dont know where my heart is. What should I do? Ancient Egypt - the mice ate wheat, the cat ate the mice, the Egyptians ate the wheat, the cat became "god".

Ancient Fertile Crescent - the sun let the wheat grow, the sun became "god" to the Hebrews, the "light of the world", hence at their religious ceremonies some Christian denominations hold up a piece of wheat and call it "god", which they have been doing for thousands of years.

Do you really think your religion is any different than the various extinct mythologies? I mean, people believed in Zeus and Ra as much as you believe in the modern day nonsense. You don't really have any reason to believe whatever you do except that you were brainwashed as a child before your mind was developed enough to think rationally. Three year-olds believe in magic. Grown-ups should grow up and think about things not just say it's magic or god's way if you don't understand. The real world is nice enough without your having to believe in a bunch of made up religious crap.

Pastor Craig Gross runs an anti-pornography ministry and hands out hundreds of these Bible from his "porn-mobile" at porn conventions. The American Bible Society refuses to print the Bibles saying the wording is misleading. The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary says Pastor Gross has crossed the line.
