People go to church when the doors are open when it is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday or/& Saturday.
It is written....Don't forsake your assembling together especially when the age of Christ is near. At least once a week anyway.
When a person is born again into the family of God, He/She can pray to His/Her Heavenly Father 24/7. Seven is the number of fullness, completion, blessing, rest. To enter His rest is to rest in Christ.

Not everyone goes to church on Sunday. Seventh Day Adventist go to church on Saturday, which is probably correct since the start of the week is Sunday ; start of the work week Monday.

Because the Pope changed the calendar way back when for who knows what reason, and everyone thinks going to church on this supposedly "the Lord's Day" which is not what Sunday is will be just fine and dandy. Saturday is the Sabbath. 7th day of the week.

Not everyone does. And some worship on Saturday, for example, Seventh Day Adventists. Sunday Worship is done on the Lord's Day in accord with the 3rd day rise of Jesus from the grave. "Sunday" was when the disciples gathered for church.

Not everyone goes to church Sundays or any day(s). If you meant why do, say christians/catholics go to church on Sundays, it's because that was the day many believers of Jesus Christ believe rose after his crucifixion so they praise him early on Sundays. Many people such as myself believe in the sabbath, witch is the seventh day of the week, Saturday, the day to rest as stated by GOD in the Bible to rest as God did after God created the world and everything in it by the end of the sixth day. Also, the moon goes in cycles, and each week the moon cycles are in position to promote healing and rejuvenation in the body. Rest from friday sundown to Saturday sundown, just as the Jews do with the day of the Sabbath, during this time promotes the optimal rejuvenation of your cells.

It is the day that is most convenience. If we had it on Monday I would since I am retired but most people have to work, We are living in the age of grace God does not care what day you go to church on. Colossians 2: 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Galatians 4: 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. Galatians 4: 11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. Romans 14: 5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

EVERYBODY doesn't, just some people, less that half the population of any country. Many people go to synagogues, temple or mosque on Saturday, and some of us don't go to any religious buildings except for funerals and weddings, mostly because we don't want to be associated with the holier-than-thou hipocrites that do go.

It is true that the Sabbath day was the day of rest and renewal. That is why you go to Church is to renew your spirit. That rest part is gone in the African-American church. We are there all day, to get renewal for what lyes during the rest of the week.
