So they can have a sense of humor, just not about their religion.

LOL!
You're right about that. I'm guessing that when you join the cult, you hand over most of your brain. That's so that you don't think about why you're handing over your money for an immortal and all-powerful deity. What does he need with it?
The answer is; he doesn't since he doesn't exist. The con-man at the pulpit though, does need it. And he hates to do actual work!

Excellent point!!! I'm a believer and I'm saved, but c'mon people, LIGHTEN UP!!! If you've got a sense of humor, who do you think gave it to you? I answered a question on here from somebody who asked what Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John's last names were. I got the Best Answer for Evangelist and their middle names were The. I know they didn't use/need last name back then, but I thought this was funny and so did the asker. However, the community DID not find it amusing. Like I said, LIGHTEN UP!!!

I think they hand it over willingly; it must not be a requirement because some Christians do still retain a sense of humor.

I'm saved and I still have a great sense of humor. I love to laugh and to joke around. So I think that's a pretty stereotypical assumption.

It's not that we don't have a sense of humor, it's that we don't wish to laugh about crude, rude, and scatological humor that makes light of something we think is sinful.

I personally laugh at many jokes, I just don't need to laugh about women in nantucket.

...your sense of humor is magnified. It just takes a while to get a grip on it, and to understand it. I had a lot of fun here last night...hope I didn't get anyone too mad at me...I was really in a silly mood.

God made us, so He's gotta have a really good sense of humor. Gotta admit though, most of us do get a bit humorless.

I don't think that kind of people had a sense of humour in the first place. They definitely didn't develop an imagination, or a respect for others.
