the best thing i can tell you is from the book of
Matthew (chapter 5)
5:10 Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Chritians are persecuted in muslim countries and a few communist countries. i think of those figures could be an exageration however. even though right here contained in united statesa. that's sometimes the christians doing the persecuting of non christians expecially pagans. i visit combat to be certain anybody Christian and muslim and the different faith has the terrific suited to beleive the way they experience is sweet for them, yet i visit additionally combat to have a similar rights as Christians. non secular freedom must be basically that freedom to be the religion you think of is terrific even no rely if that's pagan.

Christians are not the only ones who have been or who are being persecuted for their beliefs. If you want to stick up for what you believe in, that just comes along with the territory.
Just ask the millions of Jews who died under the Nazis or the thousands of Baha'is who were slaughtered in Persia (among others).
As long as there is free will, there will be differences of opinion and the desire by humans to impose their will on others.
I would say don't judge these other countries for their governments, just as you should not judge a religion by its people.
"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illumine the whole earth." - Baha'u'llah

I'd say it probably is because Christians are persecuted everywhere. I get persecuted every day here on the internet. It happens all the time. And it happens all over the world.

Because the rest of the world is fighting back. also why must you use the world persecution? You dont know about persecution until you become an Atheist or Pagan in the bible belt! Ive heard case upon case of people that are Pagan or Atheist getting fired from thier job, getting beaten up, getting harassed, being threatened with thier lives all because thier religion was not christian.

Christians have a martyrdom complex..they actually quite like to be martyrs, if they weren't being persecuted they would find a way to make someone persecute them probably!
Meanwhile they are dab hands themselves at persecuting gays! they never stop the relentless attacks and defamation.

Who cares?
Nations have no obligation to cater to Pat Robertson and other charlatans.
1/3 of the world's population claim to be Christian. The only persecution Christians endure is from the paranoid delusions they suffer.

Because to most of the people in these lands the word Christian is synonymous with the United States. In our past we have manipulated governments, overthrown regimes, and interfered with local politics all in the name of defending democracy. For a country that supposedly believes in the separation of church and state, we sure have dragged the name christian through the mud of global politics.

"CHRISTIANS ARE BEING PERSECUTED"
Ever hear the phrase, "You can dish it out, but you can't take it"? That's what's happening when Fundamentalists use this statement. They have been on the attack for years now, trying to deny rights to homosexuals, trying to outlaw abortions, trying to keep women from obtaining equal rights, and trying to impose their own morals - many of them non-biblical - on the rest of society. Non-Fundamentalists are finally fighting back by speaking out against their campaigns, their media onslaughts, and their mistaken notions of truth, and the Fundamentalists don't like it very much. They can dish it out, but they can't take it. So when people of good conscience stand up for their rights, Fundamentalists cry foul - they claim they are being persecuted.
Fundamentalists see this "persecution" as biblical proof of being on God's side. It's not. Their so-called persecution is merely the rest of society defending itself from their attacks. Their so-called persecution is merely being called to the carpet for their actions. Their so-called persecution comes in the form of editorials that don't paint them in a glowing light or legislation that goes against their made-truths. If they can't get their schools to allow them to pray to their God during class time, they claim they are being attacked. What would happen if Buddhists and Muslims tried to get the same special rights? Fundamentalists would be beside themselves in anger.
This is not the persecution mentioned in the Bible. The leaders of the Christian Coalition are not being hung on crosses (Philippians 2:8). The leaders of the Family Research Council are not being stoned to death (Acts 7:59). The leaders of Focus on the Family are not being thrown to the lions (Daniel 6:16). And yet these people have the gall to claim they are being persecuted in God's name. They are not. All they have to worry about is someone calling them bad names and denying them their request for favoritism.
