Same dumb question gets the same anwer again.
Actually, you are not correct about Catholics and Seventh-day Adventists. The Catholic Church as we know it today can only trace it's roots back to around 320 A.D. and should probably site it's founder as being the emperor Constantine.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church was actually formed in the year 1863. It was partly founded by Ellen White, but it was also founded by James White, Joseph Bates, and William Miller was the leader of the original movement.
So that would make my church 143 years old this year. That being said, age should not really be a deciding factor for a church. Paul writes, in the book of 1 Thessalonians, that the church would fall away and become corrupt. Therefore the older it is, the more likely it is to be corrupt. It would take a modern movement to bring the church back to the church the apostles represented, and that was definitely not the RCC!

No the Catholic church is not the oldest church in the world and it's not the only christian church in the world. The first church that was formed was by the by the Apostles 50 days after Jesus rose to the heavens on the day of Pentecost which was The Orthodox Church with it's original language of Greek and Latin was founded in 33 ad. The Schism of the Roman Catholic Church from the Eastern Orthodox church took place in 1054 this is when the Roman Catholic church was founded many many years after the orthodox church. The church of Christianity founded by the Apostles of Jesus Christ was the Orthodox Church. The reason for the split was because the Roman Bishop believed that the Bishop of Constantinople now Istanbul should not be equal to him, thus the split. Both churches believe in the same thing for the most part, but the Orthodox Church holds more closely to church tradition and gospel than does the Catholic church. One means that the Church is one because God is one. “There is one body and one spirit…one hope…one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all.” Holy, the Church is holy because our Lord made her so. ‘Christ also loved the Church, and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing but that it should be holy without blemish.’ Catholic, the Church is Catholic or universal, because the wholeness of the faith of Christ has preserved that which has been passed down from Christ to the Apostles. ‘Faith, which was once delivered to the Saints. Finally, the Church is Apostolic as it teaches what the Apostles taught and it traces her existence directly to the Apostles.. Also the 4 corner stones of the Orthodox Church are; One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. So to answer every ones question, the Orthodox Church was and will always be the first church on this planet.

Some of your dates are correct. Your most obvious mistake is that the Catholic church was founded by Jesus in 33. Someone deliberately lied to you and you believed it.
The Christian church actually started on the day of Pentecost when all the Jews visiting Jerusalem were convicted by the Holy Spirit and believed Jesus was the Messiah. The church had its first split in 251 over several things including baptism. It was not until the fifth century that official Catholic church took over Christianity. You need to read history. If you do-you will probably leave Catholicism.

The church I attend is about 3 and a half years old. Its construction was finished in December 2002.
Meanwhile, I've been trying to start a new church, together with my 5 cats and the downstairs neighbor's dogs, but they just want to sleep (the cats)and bark all day (the dogs). Not a pretty picture!

My congregational church is over 100 years old. I'm a member of the United Methodist church, which is only 38 years old. However, as you stated, the Methodist church is 270 years old. Of course, the Church is almost 2000 years old.
I'm proud of my church heritage, to follow John Wesley and to be a Christian, so any of those answers would be correct.

The LDS (Mormon) Church has no beginning and no end. It was restored after a "falling away" or an "apostasy" in 1830 but it most certainly did not begin in 1830.

Got that one fiugred out ;-). Question should be how many people know why their church was formed. By the way, I'm assuming you're Catholic... That word did not exist during Christ's time. He organized a group of followers not the Vatican.

I wish to argue that the Catholic church did not start in 33. The term catholic means "universal" but it is not the same Catholic church we have nowadays. That is the result of the Roman Catholic Church, which if I recall, started in the fourth century A.D.
