Ancient Egypt - the mice ate wheat, the cat ate the mice, the Egyptians ate the wheat, the cat became "god".

Ancient Fertile Crescent - the sun let the wheat grow, the sun became "god" to the Hebrews, the "light of the world", hence at their religious ceremonies some Christian denominations hold up a piece of wheat and call it "god", which they have been doing for thousands of years.

This is the first I have heard of any Christian calling wheat 'god'. If they do, then they are not a Christian.

Not that I can think of. As a Christian, I worship nothing more than my God, my Savior, and the Holy Spirit that dwells with me for they are all three in one.
