Ill tell you what I think, I believe he was studying in the orient. His new beliefs and ideas were very eastern. It's just amazing to me that we only have a mild understanding of who jesus was, and more than half his life is a complete and total mystery.

I've been told numerous times to ask God for guidence or pray for guidence. I've even tried praying and asking God. There is no answer. I'm an atheist, but I think that there's a possibility of a god. So, if God loves everyone why won't he just send an angel down or something? If He's omnipotent and omnicient, He'd know that I'd believe in Him if there was propf, and He'd know what I'd consider proof.

The Bible is the most important book in history.it was the first book published by Gutenberg printing press. So it has always had top importance. 6 billion copies. Way Far more than any other book in history. 100s of prophecies of the messiah (jesus) in the old Testament were fullfilled in the new testament. Also, the bible shouldn't be taken literaly. Jesus explained that it contains metaphors for greater things. With 40 authors and 1,600 years to complete... yet, it flows so smoothly. No other religion has a book so profound and impactful as The Bible.

I believe the news said that Clinton praised evangelicals for their work in aiding the poor around the globe and for environmental issues. The article also stated that Clinton made reference to his own Southern Baptists roots. Why do you think Playboy Bill did this? Is it genuine or is he still being Slick Willie?

It is a popular idea that the anti-christ will come to power through politics and the UN possibly. What you think?

As I understand it, the vast majority of us, probably myself included, will be going to Hell due to our not having chosen the correct religion.

Hell is generally described as an unpleasantly hot place. I've always found that the best thing to do on an unpleasantly hot day is to eat a nice big bowl of ice cream.

So, this leads to the obvious question: will there be ice cream in hell?

I sure hope so. And while I normally prefer chocolate, I think a fruit flavored sherbet would be quite refreshing in all that scorching heat.

I'm eclectic and I understand the anger some people feel against those who don't take their belief seriously, but don't you find the term a bit degrading and doesn't it make us sound arrogant which is the same way other religions act. I thought paganism was a more inclusive belief. Yes, I know paganism is a blanket term, I use it to not exclude. Blessed be.

Please do view this as a personal attack on your religious beliefs; my intentions are actually quite sincere. Also please bear with me as although this may be a longwinded question, I’m trying to avoid sounding hostile or accusatory, this is because of the delicacy of the nature of my question.

I’ve been listening to a lot of what people say on this website and I’m constantly dismayed when I hear someone ask earnest but pointed questions about Christianity and Islamic religions, only to be greeted by hostility from the respondents. It tells me that the art of intelligent discussion is dead, But one of the most interesting arguments that I’ve seen used in response to asking people to consider Christianity is the supposition of “what if it were all true?” That is to say, what if the Christian religious belief of what the hereafter is were all true, I guess the question I would have to ask is what if it weren’t?
