Thank you. I made the point that my grandfather wasn't special enough to be healed from HIS cancer. He was a life time, god-fearing Irish catholic. And nobody had more faith then an Irish catholic. So god only saves certain people. Wow sounds like favoritism to me!

As a Christian, I would win either way.
If God healed me, I am alive with a testimony, giving glory to Him for the miraclous work He had done.
If I die, I am in His eternal presence, worshiping Him with all my heart. Bliss it will be.
It isn't faith that is the issue. God calls some home earlier in life than others. And only He knows why. I am not here to question His wisdom.

The Lord does not aways let them live for reasons of His own. Reasons that we don't always understand. Sometimes it may be because of faithlessness but many times it was not part of his will, and we rarely understand what that is. We know not the mind of God and why bad things happen but we are only asked to have faith in him. And worry not, for those Christian dead are not dead but alive in Jesus Christ and are in heaven today. For our Lord is God of the living, not the dead(1).
(1) Mark 27: 27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living. You are therefore greatly mistaken.”

God's will be done. You're alive by His grace, but that doesn't mean that when you die it's because you have somehow fallen out of His favor. He loves you now and forever. We humans brought sin and death into this world, not God. I think your question is closer to being utterly stupid than the one you referred to.

Please, please, please, don't think we're all this stupid! Again, are these people even capable of reading a complete sentence! How is it any sort of comfort to someone to tell them when someone dies, that "God has a purpose for everything." I say to that question, "go sell crazy somewhere else, we're full up!"

No! God's will is not always what we want but what is needed. Peace.
