Especially when you look at the old testimant or torah and how much it indicates everything that Jesus did during his life and how the profits proclaimed these specific events such as being born in Bethlehem in a manger, Abraham telling his son who he was about to sacrafice that God was going to provide one for Himself, being from the line of David and how Isaiah said that it's by the messiah's stripes that we are healed. It to me , a gentile, seems obvious so I'm curious if someone can explain why Jesus, attributed as the spotless sacrificial lamb has been rejected as the Messiah from the orthodox Jews. Secondly according to God's law, sacrafice is necessary for the atonement of sin, how has the Jewish nation atoned for their sin since the destruction of the temple?

is it a sin to mix two sayings?

in my language, Dutch, we have a saying that goes something like this:
"When two religions share a bed, the Devil lies in the middle"

We also have a saying that says:
"The Truth always lies somewhere in the middle"

can i mix those two?

Over the past several days, I have answered and read the answers of very disturbed individuals who obviously have little or no education on the questions they ask especially when dealing with or about the Catholic Church and its faith. I've always felt that if you are serious about learning, you ask and answer responsible questions with quality and substance. Instead the questions openly challenge and insult the faith and obviously originates from often disturbed minds...minds that already have thiers made up, as opposed to actually learning something. So why is it that people act this way, instead of showing that they realy want to learn.

Where in the bible does it say that someone shouldn't listen to secular music? My friend recently said she was giving up listening to secular music not because she felt that the message was wrong but that she just loves music and listen's to it too much and memorizes the lyrics, she basically says she feels guilty for liking music...but why does she choose to single out secular...can you not memorize christians lyrics as well. I could completely understand if she felt that the music went against her religious beliefs but she listens to Tori Amos and Dave Matthews...last time I checked they weren't performing Ritual sacrafice on stage...I think she is being religiously trendy as i call it.

I've known several Christians to be quite rude to me, and tell me that I'm going to hell for not believing in what they say. I've read the Bible, but haven't memorized it. It seems to me that I live by more of Jesus' teachings than some of these people. Even though I don't believe in God, I act morally. I turn the other cheek, love my neighbor, and try to help humanity in the small ways I can. This is because I believe these things are right, not because I fear God or the law. How can one claim to be a Christian when an atheist believes more fundamental tenents of one's religion than the believer?

Remember Muhammad Atta? Did you ever see a member of the Taliban who didnt wear eye shadow?

You see, Islamic countries separate the sexes, each to varying degrees.

As a result, men show the most physical intimacy toward each other in Islamic countries.

Its against the law in many Islamic countries to kiss woman, but men kiss each other commonly, in public.

You will never see men holding hands with woman, but its VERY VERY COMMON to see men holding hands with men in Islamic countries....even walking with arms around each other or snuggled at a beach. Dont believe me...do some research online or dig into it...its for real...i dont exagerrate a word.

Why does this matter? Well, it wouldnt except for the fact that almost all armed conflict worldwide is based on Islamic religious demands to install Shariah Law (this way of life). Islamic countries have the highest homosexuality and incest rates as a result...yet they scream hate for out culture 24/7. Amazing isnt it?

Examples...
the first commandment says put no god before god....
They put Jesus, Mary and a host of saints above god.
the second commandment says don't bow down to idols (statues) that should speak for itself

when their church rules started it was hidden from public scrutiny but as the "bible" began to be exposed they neglected to change their rutuals to at least give the illusion they were following something spiritually greater.

These are but 2 examples... So how could the pope get away with calling himself serving "god"?
The closer you look the more you find
same can be said for other religions

Please keep your answer to less than ten lines. I've already read the book and won't bother to read long winded regergitated lectures.
Thank You
