Absolutely NOT!
and here are the reasons
12 Reasons Gay Marriage is Wrong
1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.
2. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can't legally get married because the world needs more children.
3. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.
4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if Gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.
5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are property, blacks can't marry whites, and divorce is illegal.
6. Gay marriage should be decided by people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.
7. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America.
8. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.
9. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.
10. Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why single parents are forbidden to raise children.
11. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to things like cars or longer lifespans.
12. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a "separate but equal" institution is always constitutional. Separate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as separate marriages for gays and lesbians will.
Don't you know Gay Marriage killed the dinosaurs?! For goodness sakes, if gays are allowed to get married AIDS and poverty will run rampant and the divorce rate will climb as high as 50% Oh wait...

The question in my mind is not whether gay marriage is good or bad, but whether the government has any authority to define marriage between a man and a woman, not two men or two women. Regardless of whether one personally believes that gay marriage is right or wrong, it should be legalized because the government has no right to decide what is moral and what isn't (if no one is getting hurt). The government decides murder is wrong because it destroys the rights of one party (the murdered person), but gay marriage does not, in any way, hurt the rights of anybody; therefore the government doesn't have the authority to say that it's wrong.

Of course! Not for me in particular, but definately for some! I cannot see how you CHURCH people, who supposedly love everyone, and speak god's word (whatever that is) can say that 2 people cannot do what they feel is right.
I thik that people that are against gay marriage are simply afraid of their own sexuality. There is no reason for a person to be an anti-gay merriage advocate unless they feel that it is important that no think they are gay.
That was kind of confusion. Basically if you are against gay marriage you are homophobic. And ancient. Get over it

Yes. Though given the present state of (lack of) monogamy, marriage isn't a sacred sacrament to the majority anyway. I love the way this political/ religion debate pops up every time the government needs to distract the populace from some really major issues. mea culpa

No... It is plain wrong... I'm an angry person... It isn't right for me to go around hitting people. People say that gay marriage doesn't hurt anyone... It hurts an entire society. The two consenting adults thing doesn't work for me. As a consenting adult I would like to smoke pot in the privacy of my home. It isn't hurting anyone, so why is that wrong?

Depends on what you believe. Do you think God makes mistakes ?
I don't. He made everybody. He made some gay and some straight.
Why shouldn't gay people have the same social advantages as any other married couple?
