I believe that God is our source creator, but that most of the beliefs about God are man-made and untrue. Including the 10 commandments and so-called "sins".

God is the formless, genderless energy source of all life, God is the process of life. Not a judgmental guy in a heaven in outer space.

God isn't an invention, because the first human beings, who were created, knew their creators. ( If you read several ancient bibliographies about this theme, which were written for different ethnics, you'll discover how much they look like the same) But, the question is if you refer about God as Creator or savior. Because if you do as savior of the humanity, you're going to enter in the speculation's world and God should be a men's invention, which is the cause that the meaning of God shall be wrongly interpreted.

yes. The "why" part is complex and really can't be properly answered in this format. So, to shorten the answer of "why" down: mankind wanted an answer for why we are here, we wanted reassurance that all the bad things that happen will get better...so the ideas of God and subsequently heaven developed slowly over time...each culture adding to the ideas and that's how God was invented and how religion has become what it is today.

If faith is how achievable administration a mass inhabitants, then why have the previous oppressive countries been atheist? the U.S. and Nazi Germany ought to not are growing the memo. faith is an tremendously undesirable thanks to administration the thousands anyhow because they are going now unlikely to have a similar opinion and are going to strive against. So my aspect the following is that controlling the thousands don't have a lot to do with faith. human beings do choose some thing to trust in. This hankering for faith looks very easy as far as evolution is going. If there is no God, then the first human beings that got here up with the perception of God may were at an evolutionary draw back- having to sacrifice cows, spend time praying, even as they could were out doing some thing effective. The Egyptians placed a multitude of attempt into the pyramids to ensure the emperor's reliable afterlife. A godless civilization may have a large benefit over them. as far as motivating the thousands, if there is no God any form of motivation ought to artwork merely besides, so the honour of the rustic or tribe must have labored effective and been extra powerful. except it did not. very almost each and every way of existence has had a faith, and those who tried to banish it like the U.S. fell aside. So why does faith artwork so properly? It couldn't have developed by the years to inspire human beings as tested above, it not really useful, so the merely different answer is that there is a God who has placed a prefer to worship him in human beings. Now human beings at the instantaneous are not all understanding so it doesn’t look like too a lot of a stretch to assert that some human beings understanding that there is a God pronounced Him incorrect and all started yet another faith. So there got here to be many various religions. No i comprehend this isn't undeniable evidence of God, merely reliable circumstantial evidence. For some reason God has determined now to not provide undeniable evidence, he needs us to trust. it truly is comprehensible, if He printed himself to each and every man or woman in complete glory; each and every man or woman may be afraid and worship him out of worry. yet God needs us to love him freely and therefore has given us a decision with assistance from last hidden, so as that if we nonetheless worship him our love will be freely given and recommend a lot extra.

Yes, God was invented my man for him to explain why things are like they are. Some cave men wondered how they got there..... to unevalved to understand evolution...so they made up a god idea.
Most people are weak minded so they try to answer questions with superstition and fairytales instead of thinking logically.
When is the world going to start thinking and finally reject this God fantasy? magic guy living in the sky.....ha ha ha

I think John Lennon had it right: "God is a concept by which we measure our pain." As physical beings, we have trouble envisioning spiritual beings. God is the spiritual force, concept, love of the universe. As we suffer, we feel a greater need for belief and understanding. Yet, it remains constant: God is love. Do some small thing nice for a stranger every day and you'll be closer to God.

"curious girl" how can you be so ignorant?

it might be hard to accept not being sure what happens to ourselves when we die.. (this applies to images of god produced in specific religions most notibly christianity)

thats an example of a motive from our fear.. the motive from our own selfuish desires is obvious (ie: heaven and whats attrcibutednto that name)

ill wait for the two apparent ignorant views expressed on here bbefore i will go on... heres a nice quote from Einstien "I cannot conceive of a God who rewards and punishes his creatures, or has a will of the kind that we experience in ourselves. Neither can I nor would I want to conceive of an individual that survives his physical death; let feeble souls, from fear or absurd egoism, cherish such thoughts. I am satisfied with the mystery of the eternity of life and with the awareness and a glimpse of the marvelous structure of the existing world, together with the devoted striving to comprehend a portion, be it ever so tiny, of the Reason that manifests itself in nature."

Yes. I believe at first, many gods were thought up by man, to explain the things they didn't understand. Eventually, people's beliefs matured enough to become monotheistic, or believing in one god. That made it easier to understand everything. There are more than one beliefs in the world of one god, and only the ones that could stand the test of time held up.
Christianity, because of it's overall appeal and goodness, and Islam, because of it's power of fear and singlemindedness.

That's what some anthropologists would like us to believe. I'm not buying that. It's the other way around: man was invented by God.

My idea was that there were a few men who were out drinking and were completly wasted, so they decided to write a book and say it was something it wasn't to see if people would follow. So they did, and this drunken spree lasted a few months. They wrote the Bible and they forgot about it. A few years later they found it in a dark corner of one of thier homes/hangouts, and they started reading it (not realizing that thye wrote it) and claimed that it was a huge discovery, and that was how religion was created.
