I don't have an answer to that question, except maybe bad press. I just wanted to say that I agree with you. Muslims seem to be way more violent than blacks. The funny thing is that they have the nerve to use RELIGION as a reason for the violence.

It's a stereotype. The same reason why black people are pulled over on the street if they look like they've stolen cars. By saying that muslims blow things up you are also stereotyping. You have to know someone before you judge or else you'll miss out big time. There are some blacks who are in gangs and do a lot violent things: such as drive bys and fights. Not all black people are violent just like not all white people are racist. Muslims don't necessarily get away with blowing things up. Our government has just gotten off track. Not all black people are considered violent. You really can't generalize like this because it does a terrible disservice to you especially when you pose the question in this manner. It makes you sound so defensive and insecure and also makes you sound racist against muslims. People are people....bottom line. Yes, there are some black people that are violent and that is the truth, just as there are people of every race, color, religion, etc. that are violent. There are some muslims that are hateful and violent but we need to stop the generalizing and yes, there are violent and hateful people in this world...but there are so many more good and decent people of all races and nationalities. I prefer to focus on the goodness I see in each person, regardless of race or culture, and to speak up about the disrespect of all people who are victims of hatred and prejudice and victimes of others bigotry.

Well, hey, I don't consider black people violent. And I don't think muslims who are killing people are getting away with it so much as it is hard to stop them and catch them. Look at the news where we have caught real terrorists in this country and they are in jail and where other countries have mounted searches and raids and so on against these kinds of muslims....

Even though you are black and even though there is racism against blacks, at some point you have to realize that sometimes it is inappropriate to drag race into things. In fact, it is racist to imply that white people let white people kill people and don't let black people do the same.

That's what stereotypes and generalizations are all about; ascribing characteristics to an individual solely based on an arbitrary categorization. Just like you did with Muslims.

BTW, it sounds as though you agree with the characterization that black people are violent. From your question, it sounds like what you disagree with is that people say it, not that people believe it.

I think every race should be considered violent. It shouldn't be limited to 2 races or even a handful. No race is better than the other. I think racism is a horrible thing and it's fair to no one. It's not just blacks who are violent, it's not just muslims, not mexicans, russians, whites. We are all violent. And different races get different reps. It's stupid to label an entire race by how a certain group acts.

Saying, "Blacks are violent" and "Muslims are violent" are the same thing! I'm surprised to see, you cannot understand it, though seems like you suffer the same thing, too!

SOME Muslims are like that. Do you have a Muslim friend? If you do, is he/she like that. It is the same thing for both Muslims and "Black" people. Once one person from a group of people does something bad, the whole group is called bad.

Where do you get the idea that anyone thinks that blacks are violent? Violent people come in all colors, races, creeds, religions, etc. The bad apples in any group are the ones who are going to get the most attention. Sad but true.
