Will someone please FREE the American people!!!

I miss the creativity in their music and movies and TV.
I miss the days where Christian Fundamentalists were few and far between.
I miss the days when free speech and free thinking was allowed.

I'm not even American. Where are the demonstrations? Has the 'APATHY' Brainwashing peaked?

Where's the country gone? WHAT HAPPENED? Was I lying to myself?

Tut....

I just saw part of an old All in the Family openly discussing (with comedy) societal issues and for an old show it was so refreshing. Of course Archie is a bigot and that was the joke, it made me so sad for how uptight things are getting. I am getting so tired of goody goody politically correct bull. Don't you think it's better to deal with reality than just not talk about it? We still have plenty of bigots floating around and political correctness has probably made it worse not bettter. Now we have the saints and the sinners as oposed to the humans.

Maybe you didn't read the speech or understand his dream but the last time I checked his dream was to unite all people black white asian lations etc. and why can't people just respect a man that stood up for what he believe in and made a difference? I'm not sayn that people of different races shouldn't have a day to remember their heros, Im just sayn that he fought for equality for all not just black people. So why are people saying that this is just for black people when its clearly not?

I moved into my new place about a month ago, and ever since they neighbors have been coming over mooching ciggarettes, sugar, ice, tea, whatever they can think of. If we don't have it, they go somewhere else. How can i deal with this without being rude?

If you really need it? i do have a decent paying job, i'm a single mother of 2 kids (the father abused me). I just don't see how being on welfare is wrong, especially when i pay taxes to help. I don't think it should be taken advantage of by no means, but if a person is doing all they can to survive, and it's still not enough, then why is it considered wrong??

I've been talking about success with my kids, and we've looked at books by people who've accomplished really BIG things. But what I really want is examples from people like us who have done something that was really good for them.
So please share your long three pointer (swish). Your BIG success. How did you do it? What lead to it? What was hard about it?
Please.

I was watching BookTV on Cspan the other day. Richard Dawkins was speaking and doing a reading. At the end of the lecture (held at a University somewhere) many of the women in the audience started ululating. Suddenly, I didn't know if I was watching a Girls Gone Wild video or seeing a soccer match in Kabul. I found it really unbecoming on the women's part.

get into boxing?
it's honestly more socially acceptable than cutting yourself, and frankly more self destructive in the long run.

seriously, the grade of some questions on here is terminally stupid eg: can i wear ear rings to school? wtf!!
most of them, by the wording, i would guess come from our American friends........why the need to ask such vacuous things?
at least the deliberately stupid questions can be funny!
now dont start yelling because i like America and
Americans but think before you ask........a little thought might just present you with the answer, and save you from sounding so thick!!

are at a disadvantage in the job market??? Is the old and tired look going to get you hired?? Do employers want someone who is youthful and energetic and less likely to raise their insurance premiums by getting sick with some major disease? Have you ever heard of the "golden parachute?" It's sad but it's a fact of this society.

America seems to constantly have days comemorating things, why is this, money? all we have is easter, christmas, bonfire night, a few bank holidays for no real reason, and thats it. Americans have like thanksgiving, arbour day (guessing the spelling) labour, flag, veteran, white?, pearl harbour, milk, and i have no idea what for, i can guess from the names what they are about, but what do you do in them, does it get annoying having to do this like every week or so, tell me if ive missed any others.
