purpose for your lives, then you're just food for worms. Well, at least worms don't ask themselves "What is the meaning of life?" Lucky them...
Before you start answering: don't give me the evolution thing, 'cause you don't know where it is going, anyway.

Instead of the illigals - because, frankly I am kind of tired of hearing about how hard they work, I know they work hard, Ok so what, are the migrant fram workers the only ones that work hard ?
How much longer are we going to pander to the liberal, left who's only adgena is to have more and more people flooding this country and keeping the welfare machine alive // In my humble opinions.
I say throw the bums into work camps and force them to work. And if they do not pull their weight cut the handouts. And make it a crime for anyone to give money to the bums.

If you HAD TO choose one of the following would you rather (a) live the rest of your life 600 years ago (about the time of the Rennaissance) as an extremely wealthy and powerful person or (b) live the rest of your life 100 years in the future as a lower middle class citizen (According to the rules of the game this will not change, you will stay lower middle class in this society for the rest of your life.)

Not that I've got it down or anything, but as ideal and desirable of a circumstance peace is to the global community, why is it so impossible to realize? Are they cultural, political or purely economical the obstacles hindering the fulfillment of this long-lost notion? Or can it be traced down to basic human interaction?

Any opinions/feedback is more than welcome, I'm curious to hear anything from anyone-

for example, the other day, I returned an unopened DVD without a receipt. They said I must use my store credit in the same dept as the DVD....i.e. electronics. I told them I thought their ploicy was very restrictive and I asked for an explanation for their policy. I was told that in "the spirit of gift giving", the giver would like me to choose my "new" gift from the same type of merchandise.

I have been really sick for a long time. The last 12 months were the worst, so I have not been at school. Basicaly I have been dead to everybody.

I went for a few hours the other day.

Here's what I need to know, should I jump right back into everything the way it was, or should I pace myself so that its not too awkward?

I just want to know why do people have to call a black person "white" when they dont fit the stereotype. For example, if you have a black male that can speak proper English, does not sell drugs, does not have a gun, does not wear baggy clothes, then his trying to be white. If there was a white guy that was fast and liked fried chicken no one would say anything about him trying to be black. I just want to know why a black person is "white" when he does not portray any stereotypes of a black person?

I am in the middle class, but I find myself frustrated with life and how much everything seems to cost. People seem to be able to afford so much more than my husband and I and he makes good money. What are we doing wrong? Do you feel this way?

Is it a coincidence that exactly a year ago on the same day i wrote that someone had committed suicide at my school in my journal and that same day a year later a boy I knew from class suicided. And the day he suicided I asked my sister if today was monday the 8th, I had a feeling that this day was somehow very significant but I couldn't grasp what it was and I hadn't known about the suicide yet, but found out 2 days later. And the day before the suicide I made my desktop background the Niagra falls and I was looking at the picture and had a brief thought of what if someone had jumped to their death there and a had a weird feeling, but I didn't want to think about it too much, he had jumped off the golden gate bridge.

Doesn't affirmative action go against MLK's dream that all men be judged on the content of their character rather than the color of the skin. ? Why should someone receive preferential treatment because of their color?
And if the only argument you have is because of years of oppression of black people, save it. There are many black people who were never slaves nor were their ancestors. Also, there are many white people who never owned slaves and whose families never owned slaves.

My ancestors came to the US as slavery was being abolished. My grandmother cleaned houses for a living and worked side by side with white and black ladies.

Shouldn't we end affirmative action and treat people as individuals? Or do you think we should continue promoting racism through affirmative action?
