I'd think it's cool to see a fellow barefooter, that doesn't happen often here in Europe. I'm always barefoot and I've only spotted other barefooters a handful of times in the ten years I've been doing it!

People, it is NOT against any health codes to go barefoot in stores in any US state, nor do insurance companies require or even advise it. That's a persistant myth that unfortunately spreads because loads of people don't check up on facts before they spread the word in places like this. Stores can set any dress code they like, but they don't have to require shoes for their customers, regardless of whether food is served or not. Bacteria don't jump well; as long as we don't put our feet up on the shelves or into the grocery trolleys, nothing from our feet is going to end up on the products. It doesn't matter if our feet are bare, in flipflops, or whether the dirt is on shoe soles; as long as it's on the floor or just above it when walking it's not gonna jump at you! Nor is glass that dangerous; I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year, never had a cut, and I never divert my step no matter how much glass I see laying around outside. Feet that habitually go barefoot are very tough!

I normally don't' think anything, because being barefoot in the world is (or at least SHOULD BE) a total non-issue, so normal and natural why even notice or care or comment on it? I'm bf'n nearly all the time, lots of places.. school, stores, driving, parks, friends houses - there are people who have never seen me wear shoes! Most guys think a cute bf girl is sexy and cute, and I just love the way it feels. If I see someone else bf I guess I think "cool - good for them!" and that they are mature enough to do what THEY like and not worry about silly peer pressure crap.

Only girls should go barefoot. When I see a barefoot guy in public first thing I think is gay.

if he is in wal-mart then maybe he is going to buy them and if he is in the grocery store maybe he is just around the corner from his house and didn't feel apt to put them on seeing as he is only gonna be a minute and then back home again.

no shoes no socks no shirt no service basic principal for most stores but on a personal level I would probably think it was suspicious cause that is my nature to do so.

When I was a kid, back in the 70's and early 80's, it was okay but nowadays it just doesn't seem right. I really don't know what to think except maybe... gross.
