Yes, I do. But after much contact with homeless people I have found that sometimes we care about them more than they care about themselves. It's true that some of them are mentally ill and some are homeless due to great hardships in their lives but others are homeless by choice. They don't want the burdens or responsibilities that "normal" life brings. Some of them are just lazy. Go ahead & crucify me everyone but this is what I've seen from my own experience. In the USA I don't see how anyone who WANTS to be off the streets continues to stay there. There are so many churches, groups, agencies, etc. out there to offer every kind of help you can imagine with housing, clothes, food, medical attention. I'm not saying it could never happen to me, but if it did, I can promise you I wouldn't be on the street long. It takes very little effort to find the help needed to get off the streets.

I know if I were in their situation I'd probably feel pretty miserable so I try and help them out when I can my sister took in a guy who was homeless once he was pretty young too at the time, so she helped him get back on his feet, the homeless guy in the town I came from used to talk to me when he'd see me around he was a pretty interesting guy nice too I used to feel a bit uneasy around the homeless but some have some real good stories to tell, one guy came from a really rich family but they died in a car accident so even though he had all that money decided to live on the streets (someone even wrote a book about his life) some were family people some decided to just be homeless and some were just out on their luck and of course some weren't responsible or couldn't keep up with paying rent.

Yes i care, and i also care that I'm keeping my head above the homeless line too.

You could be clean sailing one day and it only takes a little accident that can throw you out onto the street so fast your head will spin.

if i was rich i would do alot more for homeless in our society

Hello,
I'm here to try to answer your question. Yeah many people care about homeless. But they can't help them because some people are not rich so, they can't help them. And some people are rich so they give some money and food to them. But are not able to give home and work. So, many people create a donation society where they togther help the homeless people.
Hoping my english is good.
Ok bye.

Yes, but a lot of them choose to be homeless.

Only if they are handicapped in some way that keeps them from working and earning a living... Able-bodied adult homeless people are pathetic lazy individuals that expect handouts and are a strain on society in general. And no, alcoholism and drug addiction are not the handicaps that I am referring to.

Not really the Goths and the Vampires take care of the retched Vagrants and Homeless. The Goths gather them for the Vampires to feed on. Haven't you noticed how fewer they are lately. Soon they will have to start on the general public then we will have to do something about them. OO

Not really. I would like to say I do, but have done little to help them. Actions speak louder then words. I bet alot of people will tell you that they do care, but how many of them are just patronizing themselves?
I'm just being truthful.
