This I would love to know, for I do it myself. I have been told that I will tell you my SS#, address, what I did the day before, anything...and all correctly. I would just assume that it's when we are asked these questions we are still subconsciously asleep, yet still able to communicate because they are general responses and accessed easily by the brain. That is totally a guess, though. I just HAD to answer, for two reasons, one - to sympathize and two - I wanted to keep track of your great question so I can see all of the answers you get.
I'm not sure if you are the same way, but I am also and EXTREMELY heavy sleeper. It takes me a long time to fall asleep, but when I get there, I'm out. I have been known to sleep through alarms, which includes the fire alarm (we didn't have a fire, the thing goes off when the batteries are low). Kind of scary in a way. If you find a way to avoid divulging any personal information during sleep, please email me and clue me in, thanks!
Take care. :)

According to the university of state research studies you talk in your sleep because either you had a big dinner or you are worried.

it happens when you are worried about something and not in a solid sleep. My husband would do that and I would tell him about it in the am. He still does it, but not as often. Only when he can't completely relax in bed and get a normal sleep.

You're in a stage of sleep called R.E.M. Rapid eye movement. Everyone is in it during their sleep cycle, but you may have a habit of talking during that. You may want to see a sleep specialist.
