Will someone please FREE the American people!!!
I miss the creativity in their music and movies and TV.
I miss the days where Christian Fundamentalists were few and far between.
I miss the days when free speech and free thinking was allowed.
I'm not even American. Where are the demonstrations? Has the 'APATHY' Brainwashing peaked?
Where's the country gone? WHAT HAPPENED? Was I lying to myself?

The 'Old School' was better! At least Americans stood up for themselves. Last Demonstration I saw in the US was a bunch of people who elft their shoes outside a monument while they p1ssed off somewhere. Zombies and money grabbers. that's all that's left.

I am a conservative leaning American...and I also miss the creativity in music, movies and TV. I miss the days when liberals actually tried to better this nation. I miss the days when free speech was accompanied by the accountability for the words being spoken. I miss the days when the people of this nation were more concerned with real problems and not what the current top celebrity did the night before.
The demonstrations are still around (unfortunately), but the people complaining seem to be more "informed" and less educated. The dividing line between conservative and liberal has become a trench laced with mines so that you cannot think on both sides of the ideology.
It is not so much the so-called "police state", but the lack of active debate by intelligent people on both sides of the political / ideological fence. The security of our nation has been compromised for years by the notions of invasion of privacy and the public's right to know. We are currently in the backlash of that attitude.
The nation, at it's heart, is still here...for those who believe in it and defend it.
