My mom passed away five years ago shortly after Christmas when I was 18 years old. I really sorely miss my mom. She was a great woman, and I feel cheated because she died before I graduated high school etc. For the longest time, she was the only person I can count on and certainly she was my best friend. I want to do something very thoughtful to mark the five years since she passed. Also, a sister whom I greatly loved passed away five years ago November and I would want to do something thoughtful as well for her. Please any advice or suggestions would greatly be appreciated. My great granddaughter died this morning at 2 months old.... Her mother will turn 20 on the 20th of this month, plus christmas is coming soon. How do people handle birthdays and holidays when a baby has just died... I had a baby die years ago but it wasn't during the holidays... I am 3 credits short of a bachelors degree in counseling but dont really know the answer to this... Should you still give a present for the infant... If anyone knows the protocol for something like this, I would appreciate some feedback. Thank you and happy holidays....

At the moment Christmas only lasts around 7 months of the year. I'm thinking of patenting an idea so that it lasts 364 days a year - every day, in fact, except the old pagan Sun-god festival of the Roman Empire. We could send 'Bah ! Humbug' cards on 25th December.

Then we would be free to believe the fact that Jesus was born in April, when lambs were in the fields, and we could treat each other nicely all the time, not just once a year.

i am sooo stuck! my boyfriend and i have been dating for 2 years in feb & i have NO idea what to get him for christmas this year.. i am 19 and he is almost 21. i have gotten him everything i could think of for the past christmas' and birthdays and he has EVERYTHING! he just bought a nintendo wii and has 6 games for it. he has everything he needs for his truck, a digital camera, a laptop, etc.. anything and everything a boy could have. i really dont have a lot of money and ive already made him a coupon book for his last birthday. im thinking of a scrapbook, but we dont have too many pictures of each other so im kinda ruling that one out. he likes pretty much everything, but i REALLY need ideas!! thanks!

HI. Here's the dilema...My Nana (Grandmother) lives with us now and I am not sure what to get her for Christmas. Even though she lives with us, she is very secluded and keeps to herself most of the time. I am regretful to say that none of us really spend much time with her. Anyway, I would like to get her something for Christmas that will show her that she is really appriciated, maybe something that will get her to open up more and I guess you could say socialize with the rest of the family. She doesn't like alot of things that I know of, and she has so much stuff already I don't want to get her something that will blend in and be forgotten. She reads ALOT but books are all she ever gets. Any and all help will be much appriciated!!! Thanks and Happy Holidays!!
