I am. The domestic violence shelter is the one I want to help. Seeing the pain in the eyes of those women and children makes me so sad................... I hope I can bring a smile to them for once.

for my mother in law i was thinking of getting all my nieces and nephews together and having them hand/feet print an apron for her. she had mentioned that she wanted my baby nephew's handprints so i thought it would be a good idea to put all of the kids on there. plus, it will give the kids some fun for a while! do you think she will like this?

2nd. i am making my mother homemade bath salts. does anyone know a way that i can dye the salts without it leaving a stain in the bathtub or coloring the water?

thank you all.
merry christmas

Ugh...why do guys always say "I don't want anything?" Ok so my real question is what do i buy my 57 year old step father. he has every tool in the book. He's kind of a homebody. No real hobbies or past times. Profile: Vietnam veteran marine. Native American. not very active. somewhat into gadgets, but not the ipod, mp3 player type. He likes to tinker on things in the garage. Help!

well, more than what it already is? i went to a christmas parade, in the small town where i grew up. and i just remember it being more genuine. but this year, they had plasma tv's on a float. they would have a truck with the company advertisement, decorated with a bow. what kind of float is that? that was actually the majority of the parade. there were probably 20 real floats out of the 75 entries. i know people advertise to make money, but sometimes there are more important things and times when it is just not appropriate. one day, i know, they are just going to have advertisements on peoples coffins, or gravestones... :(

At the Holiday seasons. I mean don't we get enough of horror movies all year. What's going with the world that they have to make movies like this and then show them at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Isn't Christmas a time for joy and happiness. I would whether watch a happy movie than a scary one.

Me and my boyfriend are thinking of doing Christmas in Florida, we are on a fixed budget and we want to come the week of Christmas, I know its bad timing as it will be crowded...but like, we want a magical Christmas! Any ideas? Warm weather would be nice...possibly Disney...but like I have gotten discouraged because people say its going to be crowded...but how bad is it? The crowds are obviously people who would love a magical Christmas too...I don’t know...and my boyfriend has left me to figure it all out myself!
Any alternate ideas are welcome please...anything!
Also, we were thinking of a cheap 3 day cruise...any ideas?
We will drive out there Thursday night and spend Friday to Tuesday (leave on Tuesday). So just any ideas...help me!

From everyone responses to my questions, I am getting more and more great ideas about Christmas. Can you please share with me your a recipe or possibly more recipes for Christmas breakfast and dinner? What's the perfect Christmas dinner in your and your family's eyes. I was never interested in Christmas, but I want to make my nieces, nephews, and godchildren to have a brighten Christmas if not for me for my late mother and sister. Your responses are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It saddens me when kids have so much, yet want the world. Even on talk shows, with Christmas giveaways, adults are jumping up and down and screaming because they recieved something. It is just so sad the way the holidays have become about shopping and going into debt and not celebrating Jesus or at the least, family and helping the less fortunate. Opinions??

Is it disrespectful to take the "Christ" out of Christmas when writing? Like XMas. I used to do it but for years now I haven't because I feel it is disrespectful to God. His Son, Jesus is the reason for the season...so why do people like to X Christ out? Just curious

After reading responses to a previous question, a fellow user suggested that I could purchase a bottle of liquor for my father as a Christmas present. Considering that he likes a good swig of liquor now and then, I am open to suggestions. What type of liquor, if any, do you consume around Christmas? What do you recommend in me buying my father in this facet? Thank you in advance as your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

quite worker we have. She is very nice and polite, but shares little of her personal life with others, infact I was shocked to find out she particapated( I asked, just to be sure no one put her name in without her knowledge)..But what does one buy for some one in my case? I don't want to pry into her life, yet I want to buy her some thing nice and something she'll like...

She's a married woman about 40, maybe late 30's..and has two boys..One in HighSchool, the other in Middle school..

Our price guide is no less than $10 no more than $20
