of course you would bring a smile to there faces all of them. I wish i could but i cant even hardly pay my bills but i did adopt a soldier and i did send her a care package so i guess that counts but i only can really offord to send her letters but since it was near christmas if figure i can afford shampoo and conditioner for her that is not too high so that is what i could afford to do so i did that. I mostly write her letters bc i can not send her care packages every weeks so i write her letters ever week or two weeks.

No, I don't believe in it.
I don't accept charity and never have and never will.
I don't think that their is anything wrong with donating, and some of the charities are worthy of donations but I don't participate in the donation process.
When I die I might give a bequest to some worthy organization, but not until that time.
Call me a cad or whatever else you want, for the most part most of the charities don't actually help the recipient other than maybe briefly, I've seen to many charities reject those that they claim to be for.

Im going to donate but not to the average charity. My husband and I are going to buy toys/blankets/and food for the local Humane Society this year. They do so much to keep precious animals alive and they really need a helping hand in doing so. I know it might sound silly to some people but it's what God put in my heart to do this year.

Already doing so -- emptying the closets (donating to Goodwill and Shelters), collecting the coins (to Salvation Army Bell Ringers), and anyplace that takes donations.

I always buy a "toys for tots" and give money to the bell ringers. A few years ago I was working in a hotel, we had two families that lost everything when their apartment building burnt to the ground. A bunch of us got together bought them a tree, decorations, food and toys. It was the best feeling in the world

We donate and I also volunteer every week at our Pregnancy Center for low/no income women. It is very heart warming when you know by the look in someones eyes that you have helped them.
