quite worker we have. She is very nice and polite, but shares little of her personal life with others, infact I was shocked to find out she particapated( I asked, just to be sure no one put her name in without her knowledge)..But what does one buy for some one in my case? I don't want to pry into her life, yet I want to buy her some thing nice and something she'll like...
She's a married woman about 40, maybe late 30's..and has two boys..One in HighSchool, the other in Middle school..

If she has two children and seems sort of quiet - I would think about buying a $10.00 gift card from Blockbuster video and then putting it into a big bowl for popcorn along with some candy and microwave popcorn (maybe even a soda too). Most everyone loves a movie night.
Or - you could buy a really pretty holiday cookie jar (about $8.00 at Dollar General) and fill it with great cookies (or go to Sam's club and get one that is already filled for about $15.00).
A beautiful cake plate with a cake on it would also be great.
Some nice holiday hand towels, soaps and a candle would be fun too.

If you work with her, have you noticed if she wears jewelry? Does she bring her lunch or go out? If out, maybe a few gift certificates for fast food or a gift card to a restaurant close to your work. How about movie passes for the family? or a food basket from someplace like Hickory Farms in the mall?

If I were you I would get her a nice gift certificate to a nice resturant. I am sure her with two boys that she would like a night out where she wont have to cook, I know I would. You might also get her a nice necklace. Really this is hard I hope this will help you.

why not find a nice picture frame for a pic of her family? Or you could get a gift certificate for $20 at a spa(then she can only pay half the price for something, what woman wouldnt want to go to a spa!) Or you could buy a potted flower or tree (something maybe that could be transfered outdoors!!!!)

I bet she took part because she does not get many cool gifts, so do NOT buy her a boring gift certificate but something exciting
try the Discovery Store for something cool that you would like to get yourself - she'll either love it or pass it on to somebody in her family as a gift

Coffee gift card, or gift certificates to a local restaurant, candles are nice to as they come in white or beige and fresh scents that is not too complicated! Its the thought so remember that!

hmm well it would be really nice to make a little basket of office supplies for her like girly ones... hmm or how about a photo album.... or dang thats a tough one, lol....

If you ever see her drinking coffee, maybe a new mug with some coffee or candy inside. Seeing as how you don't really know much about her, you can always do the good ol' gift card for somewhere.
