If he loves sports, tickets to that particular sports game, even if it isn't in season now; tickets to a play; an overnight stay in a romantic location, prepaid; a professional massage.

Depends on how much are you want to spend...for $300 you can get him Tivo...this includes the device and up to a 3 year subscription (depending on the current sale).
Or...some glamor shot places take boudoir photos...frame that and put it in a gift basket with some sexy accessories (like edible body chocolate, adult dice or cards, etc.).
Or...his & her flannel pajamas and slippers (or satin boxers for him and a matching teddy for you).
Or...find out what computer accessories he needs or wants.

no more info than you give about him, a new telescope to look at the stars. A picture of you to set on the dresser, desk etc
Does he fish, a new rod and reel. You should know enough about him to know which way to go.

All of the answers on here seem stupid. Or is it just me? Anyways... Get him something electronic. TV, Stereo, MP3, Video Game... Something of the new technology that is freakin awesome. Guys are always interested in electronics!
