Holidays - December 2006

I have gotten some horrible gifts! I am sure everyone has. I know for me it is hard to react in such a way that will not offend the giver, but I guess you have to learn. I think the worst gift (that I can remember) was a ceramic beehive that was for holding a scrubby sponge ( to wash dishes with). Everyone can use a scrubby sponge, but the beehive was way too ugly!!!

it seems as thou xmas has no meaning for soo many people! its really sad! what ever happened to xmas bringing people together in celebration? now noone seems to care & its just another day? (one hurt little santas helper here) ;(

We are attending Christmas with his mother's family one day then both sides of my family the next and his father's family the day after that. During my family time his mother and father would like us to come to their house to open gifts. I have explained that Chistmas eve is when my family has always been together and I am not asking him not to go to his parent's home but that I would not be going to his parents. I am going the other two days. We have been living together for 2yrs.

I mean what's the Christmas all about? Being with the ones close to us, our family, relatives, friends, right? So where is that special feeling if we can't be close to them? Dont you think its about time we stopped being so barbaric and quit wedging the top of the christmas tree up the fairies bottom?Its not nice,its not kind and its sure not festive.Christmas fairies have feelings too and they have their uses ......collecting teeth etc.I vote for replacing the fairy with a chav.... wedge the little bleeder at the top and cover its burberry hat in chrismas lights and tinsel.Festive and a crime reducing solution all in one.What do you say.....Release the fairies,adopt a chav this christmas time.
