I think when this happens it is MULTIPLE lights that are out. The strand can handle a couple being out....but when it is, like, five or more that whole half will just go off. If you go down the line and replace one and it comes back on....remember that all it will take is ONE going off again for this to happen AGAIN. Spend the time going down the line and replacing all of them that need replacing so that you won't have to mess with it again this year----and MAYBE even next year, if you are lucky!!!

Look for the first light on the strand that is out. Sometimes replacing that bulb will solve the problem. Other than that, a new strand of lights shouldn't break the bank.

This has happened to me many cases. I even tend to plug to many strand into one yet another. i might unplug the 1st strand and notice if the others artwork. maximum probable it incredibly is the fuses interior the 1st strand purely. If the different strands that have been out artwork whilst the 1st one is unplugged i might wager the fuses interior the 1st strand are your subject. i might verify to no longer plug all of them lower back at the same time once you replace the fuses, use an extension twine and plug some into that. Merry Christmas!!!

Go through the half of lights that are not working, and take each bulb out and check if they are lose or not, or check the fuse they now have created in the plug in, one might be bad....if not lights are cheap, buy a new set!

one of the lightbulbs is dead. Go down the strand with the lightbulbs out and check each one to see which is causing the strand not to light up.

I had the same problem. I had to check all the bulbs in the burned out section. I found a couple bad ones and replaced them and the whole set worked.

Find the blown bulb and replace it...that will complete the circuit and the rest of the lights will work.

i think this happens to everyone just about every year, most likely their is one bulb that is bad...to you will have to go through all of the ones that are lighting up and till you find the bad one, then replace it with one that works
