I was 12 and my cheap aunt told my dad she bought me a walkman for christmas so my dad didn't have to give me the one he bought.
Much to everyone's surprise and mine, when I opened my gift it was a cheap plastic am/fm barbie walkman with 2 nobs. My dad was pissed and couldn't show it and my mom was annoyed. My dad ended up giving my Aiwa cassette player walkman to my 4 year old male cousin. I was so crushed.
To this day I still think of that crummy gift and from then on decided I will NEVER do that to someone. A gift no matter what time of the year has to mean something, share a connection between you and the recipient and under no circumstances be poorly made. Ughghg
;P

I have never received a horrible gift. Just the word "gift" alone makes it nice, AND I have never returned a gift to the store like so many waiting in line the day after!!
I am simply happy that someone, ANYONE, thought of me. If I have no use for a particular gift, I give it away to charity.

the worst gift that I ever gotten was a dress shirt that was ragedy and way too small, a broken body spray bottle with only half in there,& and black purse with a broken strap. Now if thaat is not the worst gift ever than I don't know what is.

I cant remember a worst gift for myself.. But I do recall one my brother got... It was a box of rocks!!! he was about 10 or so,
and my older brother really got him a skateboard.. but since he couldn't really wrap that.. he wrapped a box of rocks.. and Rex.. the 10 year old brother could not wait.. to open that present.. he shook it, and shook it all the time.. and Xmas morning.. out of all the other gifts ..he went for that one first.. it was quite hilarious..
to see his reaction.. when he saw it was just a box of rocks!! LOL.. But all was forgiven right away.. when the great gift of the skateboard was brought out...LOL..neither of these brothers are no longer living.. they were killed the same night.. about 25 years ago.. at a young age.. havent thought of this memory of them for a long time.. thanks

Well the worst gift i can remember getting, was a whole lot of nail polish. I guess the best way to deal with it, is to just smile and say thank-u.

I remember when I was 7 that my uncle gave me the worst gift ever. He dressed up as Santa and came into the apatment and forgot to disguise his voice. That was the year I realized Santa wasn't real.

My grandmother is the winner of crappy gifts !
- one sweater which make me look like a meringue, with a lot of bumps on it
- one jug for water in plastic with some herbs and leaves inside the plastic (I had the impresion to drink water from a swamp)
- one flashy scarf with a lot of pearls
...
Fortunately, know she just gives me money ;o)

i have been married two times earlier, so i do not care if i do not marry back, yet I received't say that I "received't" marry back...that isn't any longer a precedence in any respect, yet i might want to like to have someone to percentage my existence with... i have been unmarried for a lengthy time period now (the better ideal area of the previous eleven yrs) so i'm smooth with it purely being me, if that is how something else of my existence is going...I truly have acquaintances and relations and pastimes, so it isn't in any respect dull (yet from time to time it receives lonely)...
