Reindeers out of Candy Canes
You need:
Candy Canes (so many flavors, pick what you like, I prefer the regular Canes)
Small Googley eyes
Very small brown or red pom poms for the nose (I use red)
Small red bows for the bow tie
Pipe cleaners (whatever Christmas Color you like, I chose gold this year) this is for the antlers
Glue
And alot of patience
Make sure you keep the wrapper on at all times on the canes
*Glue eyes one side at a time so that it will dry and when you flip the cane over the eye won't slide off, once dry, do other eye
*Glue nose; I use the candy cane box to keep them up right, also, unless you know of a better glue, you may have to reglue the nose after it dries because it may not stick good the first time.
* Pipe cleaners curl into spiral shape. I use a pen or pencil to get a better shape and spread out a little.
* Once eyes and nose are dried, you bend pipe cleaner in half so that both ends are even and you twist onto the top of your cane making the antlers
*Then you twist on the little bow tie around the neck of the cane and there you have a reindeer
Have Fun, my husband and I did!

Buy a bunch of Unfinished Ceramic Oranments from a Craft store like Micheals Crafts
and Paint them with the kids
My Mom used to do this with us every Christmas & we had lots of fun making them
Or you can make a Wreath out of Christmas Ornament Glass (or Plastic) Balls - Just Glue them together to form a Wreath

I saw this in a craft book once.
Snowman-
Take 3 balloons, blow one as big as possible. The next just smaller and the next smaller. Take white twine dipped in glue and wrap each balloon. Glue together with smallest on top and biggest on bottom. Let dry completely. Take a needle and pop the balloons. The twine will be stiff and you then have a snowman made of twine. You can glue buttons for eyes and just be creative for rest of hat and nose etc...
Turns out really cute. Everybody loved them. I made a family of snowmen like this.
-------------------------------- OR
My neighbor came up with this one.
Cut out stockings (folded paper so that you have a stocking card that you can open up) Collect as many ads out of newspapers as you can. Glue cotton on top part of stocking to make white part. Open up and have your kids pick and cut things(toys and such they want this year) out of ads and glue into stocking to make santa's christmas list. Tell them Santa can pick a couple items from their picture list this year. Then hang on wall beside actual stockings.
