I have just lost my job with no luck and cannot get public assistance. I do not want my children to wake up with nothing on Christmas, If any one has any suggestions please let me know. I am not begging just asking for advice. I have never been in this situation.

I have a few....
When I was 8 Santa & Mrs. Claus stayed up late drinking on Christmas eve, and wrapped presents, putting my name on my sisters most wanted Chrismas item (a Crayola Caddy)

Another year I got 10 $20 bills in my stocking (to hit the Christmas sales afterwards)

Another year, I bought my sister a really cool, anniversarry special issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. It was pretty thick. I ended up blabbing to her about what it was cuz I was so excited. She was anxious to receive it. But then I ended up keeping it for myself because I liked it so much. She was mad!

ummm lets see, I remember making gingerbread houses with my father and sister.

I remember making hard candy with my mother.

And I remember telling my Uncle that if he didn't buy me a Scritti Politti tape, (1986) I wouldn't love him anymore. He bought it for me.

What are some of your Christmas memories, good or bad?

It's funny, this year my husband and I decided to limit our gifts to each other at $25. I casually mentioned it to one of my best friends, and she was NOT going to tell me their limit ($250.) It doesn't matter to me - you just do what is right for you and what you can afford, right?

We've been together for almost eight months, but have known each other for over two years. We really have a profound love for each other, and I want to get him something special. I cant spend too much money though, b/c my job doesnt pay much. So... any suggestions? I was going to get maybe a leather jacket, some jeans, and a wallet... But I want some more ideas.
