You might have to spend a little bit of money. How old are your kids. Try the Dollar Store. If they're young I'm sure they won't even notice where it came from. If they are older than they have to understand the importance of money and that when you loose your job there is no money. Can your family help out to make your Christmas better? The dollar store can be a great idea. It shouldn't matter about gifts but with children it does and I know that it's important to you as a mother to show them that Santa came and to give them gifts, believe me I know I have a child myself. Also go to Garage Sales on the weekends up until Christmas. In the mean time find a part time job, any job!

No-one wants kids to go without stuff at christmas, You could try some organisations or spend a little bit of money on cheap things like note books and pens! If ur thinking of getting back into a job tell the children you will promise them summin good like a day trip! U cud even take them out for the day! The internet is a good place to get tips aswell Happy Christmas! Hope all works out well

So sorry that you lost your job. Check with Saint Vincent Depaul and the Salvation Army. Also Toys for Tots a program through the Marine Corps every year. I would start with these three first. The Salvation Army helps many needy children every year through donations from the kettle collections. I sure hope this works for you! God Bless you and your children! Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hang in there they will have a Christmas. Just believe! :)

Toys for Tots is a good place to start. Also there are several organizations out there looking to "Adopt a Family". Go to your local Chamber of Commerce and see if it's too late to be put on the list. Try the Salvation Army (they may not give you anything but it's a good, inexpensive place to buy gifts for your kids).
I've been in your position and I know how hard it is. Just remember that things DO get better although sometimes it takes a while. Good luck.

I dont know where you live but most place have a toys for tots program or a salvation army where you can put the kids names on a list. If your kids are little enough they dont mind getting something less expensive as long as there is something under the tree with their name on it . I hope you find something in this that will help. And i will pray for you .

I would suggest you check with your local United Way chapter as soon as possible. They have a list and a cut off date to apply for helping folks get in contact with different organizations for toys and the local food bank, and church groups who provide meals for physically disabled people. Good luck.
