Somewhat. Around Christmas everyone in my family fights a lot. It will get so bad my dad will walk out of the house and not come back for hours. It is really hard to deal with. Then, later in the day everything usually gets better and everyone is enjoying themselves. So I kind of do want it to come, yet I don't.

YES -- the Peace, the Quiet -- the FACT that I am FINALLY an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree (and my two disabled children are out living independently after the fact that I was a LONG TERM Single Parent), and ... the FIRST thing that I have done for myself in over a quarter of a century ... I bought MY SELF a BRAND NEW HD LCD TV!

No, it costs a fortune, it starts in September, i'll have to get buckets of freezing cold water ready for the latest round of beggars knocking on my door, its never ending - penny for the guy, trick or treat, christmas carols, bloody scroungers, but a good bucket of water usually sends out the right mesage. Nothing says go away quite like a bucket of water on a cold December's night - cept maybe a bucket of piss.

Definitely. I'll be working from 8am-4pm, making double-time and a half, sitting around, watching tv, and going online, basically doing NOTHING, while I can still go home and have Christmas dinner with family. In fact, I'm at work right now! lol

No, this year i am not getting any presents from my other half, i already know what my mum has bought me and its not a good present (cleaning products) and the in-laws are just going to rub in my face, the fact they have a tree in each room and they have both matching porsche cars out in their drive for christmas.

Yup. And to all those cynics who say it costs too much...it only costs what you want to spend.

I'm looking forward to curling up in front of the fire with my other half, the cat and a glass of brandy. Christmas together doesn't cost that much...

No, not at all.

My mother & her new partner are taking my two younger sisters & younger brother to Cornwall from the 22nd to the 29th December so it will be a very lonely christmas for me & my dad.

Don't know why we're celebrating really, seems rather pointless.
