Go to a Dollar Store. In fact, if there's a Dollar Tree try there first. Everything actually IS a dollar in those places. Personally I would get a cheap card and put a $5 bill inside. Kids that age prefer the $.

Bake him some bownies or cookies (about 3 bucks) then put it in a christmas tin that you can find at the dollar store or just a regular tupperware that you find at your house. This should be just under or right at $5.00.

I'm sure he'd enjoy something he knew you made versus something that's store bought. Just a suggestion. Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Get him a video rental gift card at your local video store.....should be enough to include a microwave popcorn too....get a paper popcorn bucket from the movie theatre (they will probably give you that too if you ask) then wrap the whole thing in clear film and use old film as a bow. (damn im good)

Jemba ... I think the idea alone would cost you $ 5.00

But what the heck, its Christmas, I'll give it to you for free !

Get him a door size poster, now you decide which one, I would prefer a Car at that age!

Cheers!
