contribute to our society in global warming? i thought we were trying to fight against it?

You can drive a big SUV as daily transportation for one person. That contributes to global warming.

I ride the bus or carpool with friends. I have never owned a car and have always felt good that I am one less car on the road.

I am assuming you mean to prevent it. Lets see...I recycle, turn off lights when not in the room, turn off appliances when not in use, and there are a few other things too. I walk whenever I can or take public transportation.

More than I plan to. I don't care to spend money to deal with a problem of dubious probability and even more dubious consequence.
